Heya everyone. I haven't really been up to date with everything that's going on in the paintball world, but from what I can see from posts etc. is that AGD is on it's way down? When was the last release of a new product? Are they planning anything new at all? I am not trying to stir anything up, I am just lookin for some answers, seeing as the info that's available is murky at best. I saw that Tom left AGD, and thats about it...

Tom still owns AGD he is just no longer the Pres. He stepped away from paintball to work on his other many hobbies.

AGD has been on the way down for 10 years, don't sweat them going any place.

They are in a holding pattern to see what happens in the industry. Dunno if this is a smart move or not, but I don't think it will hurt them.

The only ones that know the real answers are Zupe and Tom.

And this "Zupe" he speaks of is Dave Zupan, the man effectively running AGD at the moment. If I remember correctly, Tom sold the remaining inventory to Dave, or something along those lines. Dave was formerly in charge of R&D, or a VP, or something.... well apparently I don't actually know much at all, so I should probably just stop posting.

Carry on. :tard:

In a post like this, I said "AGD is probably going out" or the like, but TK himself chimed in to say there was something in the works! So expect something from them in a few years. :)

...I am just lookin for some answers...

I don't normaly post this but "please just do a search."

Nobody wants yet another thread about this. There are MANY MANY threads about this where you can find everything and more. There's no need to condence it here because it'll just start all the crap again.

Everone else: PLEASE just let this thread die.

Yup, AGD is only playing dead. Tom hinted there was something major in the works. :D

the fn303 makes me wonder if the lvl 10 was originally made to prevent chopping a pepperball or if it was truely for paintball

They just showed some pepperballs being used on the news today to stop a car pursuit. Sweet :) :shooting:

The FN303 does not use a level 10 bolt. Ask Manike ;)

This is an FN303 valve.

The way it loads it would NEVER chop a ball. Also, the rounds for the Fn303 are not normal balls.

This is what an FN303 looks like

These are the rounds

The round magazines are what the balls (rounds) feed from. It's spring loaded and snaps the next round into place.

I love how they have the trigger rod setup in them, I wonder how strong the trigger pull is on them? dont you have one dont you muzikman? :D

Muzikman
12-02-2005, 10:05 AM
Yeah, I got one. Those pics are of mine.

The pull is stiff and crisp. It's not going to win a RoF contest, that's for sure.

I always wondered how the trigger pull would be when you had the sear infront of the trigger, ive seen several people talk about doing it in the workshop.

Muzikman
12-02-2005, 10:16 AM
Well, I am not so sure the placement of the sear to the trigger has as much to do with the trigger pull as the beefyness of the linkages. Since this is built to military specs and passed all the military testing it's built to last, not to fire fast. ;)

I am still looking to pickup another one and make it paintball friendly. I think taking on onto a field would be way too cool:)

something ive wanted answered for a while - who exactly invented the FN-303 and its rounds?

of course just looking at the valve AGD invented the FN-303... but was anyone else involved? (especially considering its for military use) who made the rounds? ive heard theyre perfect circle paintballs (AGD sub company) but they have the tail which perfect circle paintballs dont have (i think...) and i think i recall hearing simon mentioned. did Simon invent the whole round using the AGD perfect circle shells?

AGD developed the FN303 and it's rounds. As far as I know, Perfect Circle makes the rounds. Simon had nothing to do with the FN303, he just owns one (The guy I got mine from had another so I tipped off Simon about it).
