I stole this off of the PBN picture thread, because i had no idea what kind of barrel that is. Does anyone know? :tard: Figure it must be a member on here, considering the AGD craze.

Its probably a custom made barrel. I have never seen anything like it. But it is extremely cool.

"Ramrod" barrel was featured in APG a few years back.

I forget the name of those things but they use to sell them back in the day. You were suppose to ba able to shoot through any paint break. I never heard a lot about them though. I know they are not custom made.

I think PMI or Crossfire made them. Crossfire I do believe.

they work, but they are fairly loud and NOT efficent at all, as you only have like 2 inches of actuall barrel the rest is just dragging on the paintball.

I would get one for collector status, they are sure to be rare.

The other barrel is a SP Venturi 8". I had one before, very nice!

Hmmm... I wonder if I can find a cheap one on Ebay... The whole idea of it being louder than loud appeals to me. And I think my Viking could handle the drop in effeciency. Too bad I just bought an Intimidator.

The CrossFire Ramrod would certainly not make any LP gun happy. As was said earlier the barrel is actually only something like 2" long until it opens into the guide rods and rings.

Originally the barrel was intended to be a "solution" to breaking paint (either chopping or just poor quality) by allowing the paint to just be blown out off the barrel by the next ball and still give the ball some guidance for the rest of its journey.

Ultimately the barrel is horrible as far as being usable goes, but it does deliver (kinda) on the "never fear broken paint again" front. Truely one of the least effective barrels ever introduced to the game.

Really for the small benefit, your better off buying a length of galvinized pipe and screwing it into your marker.
