The owner of a field I play at told me that AGD has been bought out by National Paintball Supply and is closing its doors effective Jan. 1.
Is this true? Has anybody heard anything and I'm totally out of the loop?? :cry:

I heard this from a field owner, who is close friends with a National Supplier from New York, I was telling him how I was gonna build a mag & and he said something like "well you'd better hurry 'cause national bought AGD out and their closing effective january 1" He wasn't trying to sell me anything. Anyway, can anyone confirm it?
I sort of knew they were on their way out, but I had no idea it would be so soon!!!

I'm not jumping to any conclusions, I'm was asking if anyone knew if this was true or not. And he shoots an X-mag, not an ION

yeah get solid confermation from a higher up. every time I go into my shop the guys there keep saying that AGD is closing ect. so yeah, get better/more better news before thinking it is true.

Well... as for the National Supplier giving reputable info.. I doubt it.. any one can become a supplier hell.. Im one!
Any way......
Isnt this the roumor that comes up once a month and what would NPS ( the company that was more or less giving away there old AGD stock about a year ago ) do with AGD?

Another thing to think about, is why would they buy AGD out and then put them out of business? Sounds like a waist of money to me. Its not like AGD hurts nationals sales or anything.
Sounds like another case of someone taking a dumb *** seriously.

Very old rumor, very untrue. Although these days, I kind of wish it were; AGD just isnt what it used to be.

I heard after the sale is complete and AGD closes their doors, under the agrement, we won't be allowed to shoot our Mags anymore either.

Well, I had a friend, who told a friend, who informed an aqaintance that snitched on a buddy of a field owner that if you dry fire in the safe area your uncles mothers 2nd cousin's kitten will die.

Your field owner is an idiot. The fact that he shoots an X-Mag makes it worse.
AGD was purchased by Brass Eagle. Kevmaster can tell you all about it.

this is so not true.
if they bought airgun they did it to either try to make them better and help them back to the top of the market like they were a LONG time ago or they think that its still up there which is not even close

Heck, i heard Smart Parts bought AGD for the patents and payed Tom enough so he could fund the refit on the Hubble Space Telescope but Tom is going to repoint it at the Canadian Rockies so he can use google earth to search for fossils.
