Over on the Ion Owners forum there is a guy that is talking about making Y-frames for the ion. I dont have much info right now as its still in the planning stages, but I was just checking to see if there was any intrest over here. I am currently talking to him about testing prototypes, writing reviews, etc (all still a while away). If there is some intrest he can get more made to keep the cost down cause right now there is not much intrest over there so he is just planning on getting them made and just trying to sell them at SC Village and other local fields. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I just don't think anybody could call it a Yframe. They can make it look however they want. I'm pretty sure AGD didn't pull a Smartparts and Patten all grip frames tilted forward at certain angles. Zentram or something like that made them for BKOs/bushys a while back and called them Zgrips. I guess this guy could make them and call them whatever he wants.

AGD SHOULD have pulled a smart parts........ oh well too late..... or is it? it might help business if AGD made the Y for ions....

oooooo good idea! could any one person go to a patent office and patent the idea(and give AGD sole rights to it)?
if you try before i do i will sue you for the idea..... you've been warned......

someone should convice SP to make them, that way AGD can sue them on principle

agd has the pattent on any frames more than 90*, the zenitram frame was licenced. wdp holds the 90* frame pattent, this is why you see alot of 89* frames etc.

how would he go about getting a license for his frame?

This cracks me up. You put a Y shaped grip on a mag, and people say it is a piece of ****

You do the same on another gun, and all of a sudden its great.

Go figure

We do have a patent on them and all the other ones you saw on the market were licensed by us. If it bends forward more than 90 degrees its probably in violation.

LOL like everything else as soon as they start making them no mag owners will want to buy them....Ok 5-10 people will. Thats why AGD can make only 500 Z-grips and you still see on on Ebay every other week :p
Or thats just how the Mag users in my circle of friends sees things.

So can I patent 89* all the way to the 45 Style grip's angle? :D

If AGD wanted to make some money, they would make the y frames for the ION

but then they would have to start a side company called 'agg gat dubs', you know cool kids won't buy stuff from airgun designs :)
