OK - think I made the corrections, I did resize one image that was too small to see (haxim), and Have Blues was corrupted and pixilated, I redid that one. I added magman1 - because the one I had was incorrect and I didnt enter it. And the tommy gun emag now has the loader diagram below the main image on the large image.

So - I think this all is correct now - please alert me if it isnt.

So - go to the below URL and then make your vote!

PS - everyone needs to re-vote please - sorry about that!

Can we talk about our entries in this thread?

Here's mine...

Its #6
The picture shows 2 large views of the same
marker.

It is completely modular.

The body can be switched from warp to vertical.

The grip can tilt forward for a z style grip!

The foregrip/battery holder can be *tilted up to the left or right* to give
a vertical foregrip when tipping the marker over around the bunker when
using a warp feed!!!
(I think AGD should really do this)

It also comes with a short barrel and a long barrel.

An XL version of the picture can be found @

http://www.krylos.com/deded1.jpg

Even if you already voted or are going to vote for someone else... please take a look at it and LMK what you think! :D

~Since now everything is all good, i'd like to direct your attention to #26... If you see the tompson style drum hopper, i also included a cut away version of the inside of the drum. You can see this cut/away diagram on the large page. Clik on the Thumbnail for #26!

I would also like to retract what i said about people complaing earlier. (they fixed mine so its kinda hippocritacal now)

PS> Hey Tom, it seems that everyone (or a majority) likes the idea of the E-Z-MAG... could we possibly see this in the future? Perhaps as a modular attachment? just a thought.

Ok...
If mwmathes explains one I'll explain one too!

Look at #16, note the 90* rotated battery foregrip for more of an attack stance. This also proves for good tuck if you curl your fingers over the top and rest it on your thumb. The space between the grip and barrel can be adjusted and the grip has enough excess aluminum to be milled down to fit.
The possibility of an EZ-mag is realized through this design because the pcb has been moved into the attack battery grip. This leaves more room for the solenoid and thus, allowing enough space to fit it into the grip.
I had not been able to make other pictures of the modular battery/pcb assembly but they are easily removed from the rail. The assembly can then be moved to a remote on your body or it can be mounted onto a tank using a mounting rail for your tank that doubles as a cover.

Notice the funky 'Alien Barrel'. (Yes, I know it doesnt actually have a hole at the end. This is fantasy, right?)

Also, the frame is taken from a Beretta 9000s handgun (pretty).

I liked #34's concept of a warp and loader all in one. At least its my impression of what he wanted to do. My vote went that way. Mostly for the concept and the way he did it. Not necessarily for the graphic work although right good. Looks like a speed collar top.

I do like some of the mechanical nuances that folks designed.
Convertable Z grips are interesting.
Relocating the LCD is a must no matter what wins.
I laughed when I saw the Tommy gun thing, not because it's a bad idea. But well, something similar is on the way.
As I said, I'm all about the EZ-grip.
I nearly sent in a Geiger-Mag myself.
Angled batteries are cool.
The lion mill work was cool.
I don't know who to vote for yet. I must look again.

Its ok for you guys to "pimp" out your designs and explain them (god I hate that word). That is what the forum is for.

as for the thumnails - they are small just for size sake and a bit quick and dirty. Just so you can see at a glance what there is to offer. The large images should all be fixed and allow you to get a good look at the design.

ps: cujdik - I fixed your vote for you.

Who designed #36? While there are ALOT of great ideas I have to take the hat off to #36 for thinking out of the box. His/her design is not only way different and creative, it mixes in the AGD lion element and its looks to me while it is a machinest nightmare - it would be possible to do!

Webmaster, Shaft and wyn1370,

I really appreciate your compliments. Getting one from the Webmaster is worth as much as winning the contest. I wish I was able to use the high level graphics programs that others did, that stuff is amazing. When you consider what I used, I think that it came out really well. Believe it or not, that image was created in MS Paint. What you see is the product of about 40 hours and a determination to get my idea across. The body is a compilation of ClipArt and a picture of a lion. The rest came from various paintball sites, including AGD Europe and the gallery here. The "anno" job comes from a psychedelic background file and a picture of a tie-dye shirt. The original idea came from wanting to paint my concept Tiger Stripe. Then I thought, why not make it a tiger? Well, tigers are cool, but I've always loved the AGD symbol. It's like putting your family seal on your products. Anyway, I'd have to get one if they were put into production.

Great job everyone, and thanks for the compliments!

I guess if everyone is pimping, I let her go for 5 cents a pop. LOL

My Cad graphics doesn't look so hot comparied to these others, but the concept is cool. A clear tube goes from behind the valve to a center feed barrel. The new main body tube can be cut in a number of designs, and makes it two tubes high similar to a cocker or angel. This would make a great warp demo gun, as you can see the balls go out of the warp, up the feed tube and across the top of the gun until they are fed in to be fired.

May as well explain mine... I'm an engineer, so I admittedly spent much more time than I should have making sure that some things can actually work... The main design feature that I came up with (as some others did, too, I see) was a grip that can swivel forward to a Z-grip position. This can actually be done, and I had to test for clearance in all positions as the grip is swung forward through 60 degrees.

One of the big problems with swiveling the grip forward is that the air system attached to the bottom of the grip will then be angled forward really strangely. So I decided to link the foregrip/battery pack to the grip via a dropforward bar. Thus, the air system will _always_ remain parallel to the bottom of the gun.

Unfortunately, the solenoid can't be kept in the grip frame anymore, as it would always be angled differently, thus an engineering nightmare to get it to trip the sear. So I made the solenoid housing lay flat along the bottom of the body (unfortuantely, the angle of the shot obscures the housing). It should still be possible to flip the gun into manual firing mode, but only if the grip is in standard .45 position (as the sear would always have to be kept in the same orientation to be toggled by the solenoid).

The other big thing I wanted to change was how the gas line is routed - having to plumb hose all the way up to the side of the valve on the E-Mag makes for a lot of airline in the way. So by routing the airline through the battery pack via 90 degree swivels (with a stainless hardline exiting the top of the pack and supplying the valve), hoses are kept nice and clean - the user only has to plumb their air system to the bottom of the battery pack. The Flatline cradle shown can also be swung up to the left like the ACI Dyna-Mount.

Having the display right under your hand is one of the most unfortunate places that you can have it - ICD has the right idea with it on the rear, but I think it should be made into its own module that can be mounted by the user onto the gun wherever they like.

Not having my own Warp Feed, I couldn't model one very well in CAD for the rendering. So I decided to incorporate the Warp into the feeder itself for the blue gun - you'll note the cylindrical housing at the bottom rear of the hopper for the feed drum. The other hopper is just a boring agitated loader, but the breech has twin foam rollers to forcefeed the balls into the chamber (you can just barely see part of the drive motor behind the rollers).

And of course I had to toss in other goodies like crazy color schemes and coverings for the hoppers and tanks, marble and agate grip panels, an LP valve, and of course custom milling on the foreground gun (note the sponged Aurora finish and matching 2 piece barrel).

Also, here's a high-res 1024x768 version of just the rendering (no text): http://airsoldier.com/~haveblue/fantasemag.jpg

Just a quick note on the tools I used - the modeling was done in Cadkey, exporting of the meshes was done in IronCad, and the raytracing was done in Pov-Ray. Note that Pov-Ray is entirely free, and is a fantastic program (go to www.povray.org and check out what you can do with it). In fact, if anyone wants to play with my source files and try rendering the scene at different angles or with different textures, be my guest - my source files are all zipped up here: http://airsoldier.com/~haveblue/femag.zip And if anyone wants the CAD files, I can zip those up as well.

Well my vote went to #29 as it was the closest to the design I thought about creating but never got around to.

I thought about a double Z mag.

Z-Grip Emag frame in back with a Z-Grip without the trigger for the battery pack as the front grip. If enough people PM me I'll throw a pic together and post it.

I voted for #12 ... especially the last/red one.
Great Miling of the Body ... and great display.
I would also have this body with a normal grip, the big display and DYE stickies...
This FantasEmag only needs a lightweight valve and batery and my dream comes true!

Steve or Snappy if you can find an .STL file of a Lion in a similiar position to that one then I can possibly fit it into an Extreme body material and you can get it machined. My CAD/CAM software is very good for machining STL files and very intricate detial.

There may not be enough material in an Extreme body but it wouldn't be that hard to machine from a raw lump if you can find me an STL.

Anyways if someone finds a Lion STL I'll look to model one up properly...

I know there are databases of STL files some places on the internet...

The main new feature is a totally redesigned from scratch main body. Based on the extreme body. This new body is as light and compact as possible, while leaving a little room for custom milling. The body also incorporates an extended forgrip. Combined with the standard 15° angled forgrip creates a very tight grip setup.

The 15° angled forgrip is gas and power through. This allows the battery to be placed on the tank or on the harness in a remote tank setup. The remote battery could even be a larger, longer lasting battery. Power can also be routed out of the 45 grip as an alternative.

Five modular feed modules are available: Power feed HL/HR (which could also be used with the long PF Plug as a warp feed module), Warp Feed R/L, with intergraded elbow and Center feed.

The modular feed features a retention system. Four spring-loaded pins (similar to the barrel lock) lock the chosen feed module. The threaded barrel fully secures the module in place for play. However, the barrel can be removed on the field for cleaning without any worries about the feed module falling out.

The modified 45 grip allows for manual firing as well as standard 45 grips (with a hole for the LED display). The LED display would be available in different colors to match the anodizing on the gun itself.

The Valve and 15° ASA are double tapped. The hole not in use comes with a stainless set-screw to plug the hole. This allows a player the most versatility in air setups. For example: a left player could switch the air fittings to the left side of the gun, giving them the equivalent of what most right handed players take for granted. This would also allow for gauges to be used in a remote setup to monitor tank output pressure.

The gun includes the new ACE (Anti-Chop Eye) advancements. A sensor will detect when a ball is fully chambered. In electronic mode the gun will not fire until the ball is in place, removing the possibility of chopped paintballs.

Different colors and types of anodizing are available. The Flatline 4500 regulator and F-Emag valve back are available with matching anodizing.

I'd love to, but I wouldn't know where to look! I'm quite tickled that mine was the first that other people talked about making. I think that's the highest compliment anyone who made a FatansE Mag could hope for. If it happens, make sure to tell me about it.

And the angled battery pack with the wicked green chip anodizing, and blue bubble drop forward, sight rail, and such. and its got a 1300 poly barrel- the entire gun was over 150,000 polygons... my small computer would crash from even rotating it.. it was like trying to diffuse a bomb while rendering.

I didn't even make #21, but..
I had to vote for number 21 for a couple reasons;
It's a realistic design that could actually be done, and it incorporates a lot of nice factors into it.

-Absolutely beautiful fade colors
-Very attractive looking new milling for the Extreme bodies
-Venom Toxic Toys Deluxe Highline (I really wanted one of these for my automag, basically it is a slide check and quick disconnect in one, which cuts right next to the valve, where the little ring part is. So if you need to de-gas and take our your valve midgame, you just slide that sucker back, it bleeds only the air in your valve, and disconnects the valve all in one movement.. and the hardline just looks sick)
-What looks to be like interchangable vert feed tubes, like angels to change feed tube look/height
-Milled battery back with finger grooves
-Integrated gas-thru system
-Available as regular .45 or z-grip style
-Matching annoed new 4500 Max-flo's

edit: sorry, #30 deserves mention too for it's HK inspiration, but I was indeed referring to #21.

All of your ideas. Some of them are truly thought provoking and should be put into practical use. Some of the ones I liked were:

#26 the Tommy Gun Emag. I though it was a little awkward to look at, but gets points on originality and and the nostalgic factor.

#36 Really KEWL body...now if the eyes could be made into and optional laser sight.....Hmmmmmmm.

But My vote goes to....(drum roll please).....#19..

thats right...though not very eye catching I like the way he took us lefties into consideration.

well, 45 and 46 are supposed to be one entry, one's vert and one's warp. It hard to understand what it is by looking at it...so...

FantasEmag features

· Milled, more rounded Extreme body.
· Smaller, sculpted battery pack/foregrip
· Blade trigger
· Easy to read battery level indicator
· ACE
· Air Assist
· Adjustable dwell
· Softer, adjustable bolt movement, similar to the Matrix
· Dye Stickies
· Twister Feed neck
· Smart Parts Freak System
· Flame Drop
· 4.5k Flatline with dovetail mount
· Red to blue anodizing
· Maintains manual mode
· Dual 12v power outlets (warp and revy)
· Dual intellifeed outputs (warp and revy)
· Superbolt

Results:

An Emag capable for being tweaked to shoot over 16 bps without a warp. An Emag that WILL NOT chop balls no matter what. An Emag with the Angel’s style, the Cocker’s tweakability, and AGD’s awesome performance.

Neat "inside look" done in 3dsm. If you looks lcosely at the main body you can see the wave milled into it.
