Some people prefer the backbottle. I have a back bottle stock class and I love it. The VSC get less shots per 12gram, I can get about 45-50 depending on the weather.

from what you said it sounds like a pretty good deal as long as the gun is in decent condition...however, it's alays easier to tell with pics

I shot one of those-the pump stroke is brutal and it smells like burning propane. It's also mad heavy. The phantom blows it out of the water. Check out www.whitewolfairsmithing.com for good deals on new phantoms.

wecopaintball.com will hook ya up, the back bottle stock class configuration is one of the cheaper models, so it shouldn't be too bad brand new.

I was looking at getting one too, is there any major disadvantage to the sc back bottle compared to the vsc?

Thanks bro, as to verticla verses backbottle.. I thought I'd hate back bottle but I love it on my buzzard, I'll stick with back bottle for good now. It's better 12 gram efficency with a back bottle setup vs vertical, but you have to decide looks/comfort vs efficeny I geuss.

If you're still considering a Phantom (I love mine!), try The PHOG (the posts are full of great info, and the marketplace may have what you're looking for). It's a great board, with great people who'll be willing to help: http://www.bunkerboyz.com/phog/ (You can find Snipers/Cockers, too.)
Before I got my Phantom I did a lot of reading there and chatting with people; I learned a lot and bought my Phantom as quite an informed buyer, which is why I'm lurking here now - educating myself before adding a Mag to the list!! ;)
