View Full Version : Stalker Paintball's Dianne Olsen passed away last weekend

In all the stuff going on, I guess nobody posted this here. And seeing as this forums still has a pretty sizable presence of Wisconsin / Illinois members, I wanted to share some painful news.

Anyone who's been in the Midwest knows about or has played at Stalker Paintball Games in Wisconsin. It's one of the oldest fields in Wisconsin. Dianne and Mike ran it since the 80's, and it's become a fixture of paintball in Wisconsin.

Last Friday, the 23rd, Dianne suffered what is thought to be insulin shock, and did not recover. Mike made the announcement on the Stalker forums (http://p220.ezboard.com/fstalkerpaintballfrm19.showMessage?topicID=23.topi c). To say the least, everyone felt the loss.

The funeral was on Tuesday of last week. Her obituary can be found here (http://www.pichafuneralhome.com/Dianne%20Olsen.htm). Her presence will be missed by everyone in the region.

Never met Diane, but I met Mike the weekend I played there in 1994, good people. Send my condolences.

didnt know her but being from WI, that sucks.. sorry for her familys loss..

Never played there, or met her. But am sorry for Mikes loss, and paintballs loss.

didnt really get to meet her, but she seemed like a very nice person last time i was there.

yeah i heard about it last week. I have been dealing with her and Mie for years. she and Mike are some truly great people, but you already knew that Rob.

I have been to stalker a few times and meet both of them. Both are very nice people... my condolences go out to mike and everyone at stalker...
