Is RP Scherer the only PB company who's using the oil-less advantage shell ? Do they use it on all the RP paint lines (i.e. Marballizers, All Star) ?

Yes RP is the only company using the advantage shell, and the reason for this is US Patent #5,554,385 granted on September 10, 1996 for "High Amylose Starch Subsituted Gelatin Capsules"..i.e. RP replaces some of the animal gelatin with high amylose start (Potato Starch..but in a highly refined Industrial Form)...and as for if they use this stuff on other shells..i don't think so yet..i know it's on the Flash balls but i don't know about the other ones yet...

I'm pretty sure that the advantage shell is being used on all RPS products.

PMI Premium & Marbalizer I have seen personally. I would assume that all-star and others would be using this shell too.

The entire product line we get over here in South Africa is Advantage. Don't know about theire entire product line, cause only a couple of different products get imported.

I've seen RPS PMI, PMI Premium, Marbs., All-Star with the advantage shells. I would think that any brands that are really seconds of these balls would also have the advantage shell.

what is so good about advantage shells? i've heard they get jammed in warp feeds because they can't roll off each other as good as the oily kinds.

PMI/RP Big Ball utilizes the advantage shell as well.
