We should all start an email campaign to see which online vendors are going to be carrying the new 4500psi flatline systems..if they don't carry them we shall inform them that they should and are losing sales because of it...Come on everybody..i already emailed paintballgear.com and i am waiting for a response from them...This is the system we've all been waiting for so let's vote with our wallets and show them that AGD stuff can sell...and darn well at that...

I guess we don't need to be obnoxious about it but nothing is wrong with a polite inquiry into the availability of a product.

I'll call around, asking about the 4500k Flatlines.

I hope more AO'ers help out here than in the paintball bounce tests  :(

I sent e-mails too all of them except 888/800paintball.com, and countypaintball. I think this will work out nicely. One question, if enough tanks are sold will you consider making the flatlines in several colors, or atleast pewter, black and nickel.

I'm gonna email Terry at www.g3pb.com as you guys should too.

He is a great person to deal with and would probably consider carrying the 4500 Flatline. He carries the Conquests because of the reputation of being a quality tank. The same can be said of the Flatline and he'll probably be willing to carry it. Any specifics we should include in the email to entice his willingness?

*Edit* Just emailed G3 to see if he will be carrying them

There is no question that if the interest is there, dealers will bring in Flatlines. But you have to be careful that this does not backfire.

If 100 people e-mail 10 different dealers, then that's 1000 requests for Flatlines. Pretty impressive. But if those same 10 dealers order in 1000 flatlines between them and only sell 100, they will still have 900 sitting on the shelf... This will not make for good feelings towards AGD products in the future. Now, this is a bit of an exaggeration, but I think you get the idea.

Yes, you guys do have the power, just be careful not to abuse it:)

I sent my emails out and mentioned that my teamates were interested in them too. I think these tanks are going to be popular anyway and once a few people start to get them, they should spread like a wildfire.

Xplo,

They are already on deck in black, pewter and chrome ( I am getting better at this).

Don't worry about overselling it, hype creates hype and then more people get interested!

You sure you couldn't do a run of special teal ones just for sale in the store? (I'm sure we could find 10 or so people who'd want them...please???)

Emails first, requests second! If you guys pull this off and I get dealers on the phone you will really have me over a barrel the next time you ask for something.

Think about it.

This is a great idea. I called and e-mailed all the companies that are listed. Then I want to a few of the top 50,200,60,25 forms and called and emailed the first 15 or so of them. The bigger stors like national, paintballgear and 888paintball said they are already ordered, yet I do not know if this is true.

I'm sure you can understand why dealers hate it when they take someone at face value, order in a product for them, and then that person never comes in to pick it up or changes their mind. Now, multiply that by 100.

All I am saying is be careful what you say in your e-mails. It is downright dishonest to mislead 7 or 8 different dealers to believe that you will be buying a flatline from them if they get them in. After all, you can only buy one. And how many of you e-mail writers are actually going to buy a flatline in the very near future? it is even more misleading to write these e-mails if you are not even really in the market for a flatline...

I am not trying to crap on you guys, I'm just looking at this from the other side of the counter...:)

Well, I emailed Terry at G3 and he said "not planning on carrying the 4500 Flatline at this time, sorry". That isn't very good news but maybe with enough interest from other emails, he may change his mind.

I did my part... I emailed the ones on the list and a few of my distributers as well (National Paintball Supply). The inquiry may mean more to the distributer comming from a store/dealer.

I just got a reply from http://www.paintballwizards.com and it read

"Hi

we do always sell before MSRP. The prior versions of this tank were a very low seller for us. I doublt we will sctuallyt be carrying them. They are a great tank. If you do want one. Simply call us to order. It would take an extra 2-3 days,. but it isnt a problem.

thanks!
Jason"

Most of the places I emailed, said they are planning on ordering a few, most said half a dozen or so and if they are popular they will order more. Some stores are not carrying them because no one want them. 2 stores where rode and said they are not carying them because agd, makes faulty and worthless products.

Here is Terry's reply, kind of surprising.

No plans on carrying them.....in the past, AGD has sold so much product to
National Paintball that I cannot buy directly from AGD as cheaply as someone
buying from National...then, National turns around and seels them accross
the counter at about the same cost as they would charge a dealer...so, I
will not buy stock from them anymore.....sorry
