There is a fellow that has a BooYah grip and will practicaly give it to me, but he says it eats sears.
Is there anyone that knows how to fix this problem?

http://makostorm.freehosting.net/index.html there's some info on the booyah (mako is the same thing)

I cant really answer questions about the sear, but there used to be a booyah/mako enthusiast on here whos name was hostage, but he hasnt posted in quite a while. Heres a page he made that you might be interested in

If you can adjust the dwell on the Booyah, it shouldnt eat sears if you have it set correctly.
He probably didnt have it set right.

Booyah/MAKO frames just plain suck hard. They failed at life.

Go Hyperframe, Benchmark, Y-grip, Intelliframe.

I know they weren't the greatest, but a BooYah for $25 as oppossed to a Hyper for $150 if I'm lucky. I'll go with what I can afford.
Plus I think the ULT will help it out a bit.

OH yeh, for $25.00 I would sure try it out.

If you had to you could replace a lot of sears with the money you saved.

for 25 bucks on a frame, you can afford a morlock or predator. worth it.

So what would a new board do for me and how easy are they to install?

I had a "Boo Yah" frame for my Spyder years ago. It performed really well for me. The problem was that once I did have problems it was impossible to get fixed.

If you put a Morlock or a Predator Morlock in there it would be a machine gun.
You just have to know how to follow directions and how to soder. Well actually you could use connecters instead. There is no sodering to the board anymore.

I know the frame is already gone, but i'll reply anyway.

I've had a boo-yaah elcd grip on my mag since 2001 and haven't had any problems with it. The only issue I've seen is not enough voltage in the battery causing the solenoid not to trip properly or completely. Using a 9.6v rechargable (java, etc..) is a simple solution. It'll eat regular 9 volts, though.

^-- the uber-lurker.

Not to derail, but i've been extremely happy with the content from AO, and really had nothing more to share in the conversations. I've also been busy with work, wife and finishing my degrees, so paintball fell from the priority list. It is making it's way back up there, though. :-P
