some 1 tried this b4, but its a pain to tighten them right without scratching anno, and i wouldnt recomend making them as hott as you have to for powder coat...

i had em done professional government style no probs with my wrench it was baked in a kilm :P

I looked into this a lot...

1. They cant be annodized becuase of the metal its made of (nickel plated brass)

2. You can powdercoat them, but powdercoating adds a small layer onto it. This layer will either get a) scratched when you try to install/remove it, or b) build on to the threads, rendering the fitting useless.

Also, since one finish involves dipping the piece in acid (anno) , and one involves intense heat, the O-ring on the inside swivel will get damaged and the fitting will leak.


I reccomend screwing it into an old ASA or any 1/8" thread, popping a piece of macroline in it, spraypainting it (do it nicely now), and then using that. Cheaper and effecient.

Yah, sorry, didnt mean to sound snooty, its kinda hard to show emotions or whatever online. But if you need a temporary fix, a sharpie works.
