Anyone been? I just booked a trip with buddies Mar 2-6th, wondering what clubs and such are good.

Never been there, but I read recently it's one of the most expensive places in the world.

Supposedly even the minimum wage is around $40/hour.

Given that the per-capita GDP is only $34,600, that's highly unlikely. But maybe they work 15-hour weeks.

Many of them work two jobs, according to this:

Well, I've been through Keflavik, but didn't stay long enough to hit any clubs or sights. Guess that doesn't really help... :tard: The weather was actually nice though!

I don't know. I exaggerated the amount a bit for effect. I do know that the minimum wage is quite high though. As to how many hours a week they work, your guess is as good as mine.

I also know that if you buy airline tickets to Iceland during the off-season (whenever that is) that you can get them for around $500 or less.

My trip was $800 for 4 days 3 nights in Reykjavik w/ airfare and hotel, not to mention some random tours -- a horseback thing, the blue lagoons, etc.
