how fast can the actual bolt cycle?

i know that the regular automag can shoot almost 12bps before getting shootdown. a retro can do 26bps without shootdown. the valves can do it this fast. how fast will the bolt be able to cycle, allowing enough time for the ball to enter the breach before the marker is shot again.

A computer pulled the RT 26 times a second so yes, the bolt will move in an RT 26 times a second. I think the EMAG will only do 20 because of the solenoid plunger. I'm pretty sure about it all.

well, i know that. but what if, for some ungodly reason, AGD made a new valve that could keep up with 50bps. would the bolt travel and return to its cocked positoon fast enough to keep up with it? i know its kinda useless, but i would like to know if agd has looked into this.

Im probably wrong but a while back i thought i heard that the actualy cycle rate of the RT was 50 bps, but only 26 w/o shootdown. But im not sure..infact i'm probably wrong.:D

Man if there was a 'gun that could cycle @ 50 CPS, we'd need cooling systems :D

yes the RT is capable o firing that fast...however there is a problem that many have encountered.
Once you get it going to 11-12 BPS, blow back will eventually make the ball travel too slow to keep up. This is the reason for the new "superbolt" tom was talking about a little while ago.
I guess if you have warp, or HALO, then you hae something forcing the balls into the chamber so you might get a few more.

But seriously, who the hell needs anyhing past 12 BPS ??

At 20 bps the total shot cycle time is 50 milliseconds. The bolt travel time is about half of that, 25 milliseconds. That is 25 thousandths of a second. At some point you don't have enough time to load the ball but the gun will still fire.
