I'd be interested to see how that turns out... Lemme know how it works out/pics, if you get it finished.

it shouldnt be too hard, I was thinking about modifying a plastic zipperlined pillowcase like you buy from a store, fitting it inside a backpack, running a warp feed from the back pack so thats its forced through the tubing, but giving myself enough slack to be able to move with the gun, if anyone wants to try it feel free, I have to get a few paychecks before I can afford this, I want to get my kartamag running first

Why would you look at upgrades for an Ion before you've even bought it? If you're doing that, you might as well buy a better marker and wait to upgrade that.

if you read it carefully you would have noticed that he hates the plastic feal of the trigger frame. and wanted to swap it out. no exactly and upgrade, since it is cosmetic

No idea. It is a whole gun i believe.. I dont think they are going to sell just bodies or just frames. There is also a dynasty ion body coming out soon. The only pics I saw of that were on a stock ion, so it looked pretty dumb. Fancy body, matte black stock everything else..

Thats not right, he copies my list from PBN and gets all the credit.

If anyone needs any help with ions, i can prob answer any question you have.

IMO the only frames worth buying right now are Elements (no longer makes Vert frames and his first batch of humped 45* frames are sold out), and SITH frames. Punishers frame is almost a stock frame. Only diff is the milling, integrated rail, small hump, and screw access. It doesnt have a removable ASA or anything.

As far as shells go the Foehn and Strnage are the only two with rear bolt access. Then theres the stage 5 which is the only complete body made for the ion. If you can find one i suggest buying one (only 99 were made and less than that were sold).

number1zero - You cant use the stage 3 with the foehn shell. Also, no DM board will fit in the ion. Your options as of now are the t-board, blackheart, or the amazingly overpriced virtue board. I suggest the T-Board since it has direct membrane pad hookup and all the same features as virtue while costing $60 less. If you get the stage 1 bolt, theres no reason to get the EQ bolt. I suggest staying with the stage 5 or getting a stock bolt modded (which will make it just like the EQ).

If anyone else needs anythign lmk.

Go Blackheart.....................

Chaos_Theory!
03-06-2006, 08:42 PM
Anytime man.

Dont go blackheart. The T-Board costs less and has more features. Not to mention Damon from scenario dreams offers some of the best customer service ive ever see. On another note, you cant currently use the membrane mod on the BH board. I also made a typo, i ment to say stay with the stage 1 bolt over the EQ bolt.

Who the hell needs any other features than "fires when you pull the trigger"?!:)

Chaos_Theory!
03-06-2006, 09:54 PM
Correct, the membrane mod does not currently work on the BH board. Chiumanfu is working on a kit for it though. Witht eh T-Board all you have to do is plug the pad into the harness and plug the harness into the board.

WARPED - The membrane hookup is actually pretty helpful. Also, it is cheaper than the BH board. Along with all the cool things youd expect form an aftermarket board.

I didn't see a QEV in the list of things you were doin to this ion... I'm thinkin an aftermarket board w/o a QEV isn't the smartest. Just my 2 cents... Also, idk about the T-board, never had the chance to try one, but I'm happy w/ my bheart. I personally think modding the stock body (cutting off the rubber webbing, bondo, paint whatever custom design you want on it, then clearcoat) is the coolest - for the price - body choice out there... If I can ever figure out how to post pics here, I'll put mine up sometime.

/still a diehard AGD fan at heart :ninja:

I have a eclipse qev and havent had a problem with it but if I was to get one now it would definatly be the smart parts 360 qev. No cutting required

WARPED1

Alot of the new aluminum bodies require no mods for a QEV.

Chaos_Theory!
03-07-2006, 10:51 AM
Most new shells and QEVs dont require body modification. The problem was really only with eclipse QEVs. I highly suggest a 360.
