What ever happened to it?

I left paintball (due to money problems and need of a car) right as the hype was starting up for the hAir trigger. My question to you is, what happened to it?

I see, are they going to be able to launch at all, I mean, everytime I watch the clip, I get chills, I long for that frame.

Who owned the patent? and are they going to launch?

Unless something changes dramatically - don't hold your breath. Patent law is huge (especially right now) and firms are adding more and more patent/trademark attorneys all the time - its where the money is right now.

They (DeadlyWind/Nicad/Collin) have a patent for the hAir now...

I always say you must list the pull length and weight.. otherwise just one parameter leaves the other as a huge variable.

Now that we have our patent issued, there is a very slight glimmer of hope that we will release a "tinkerer's hAir block" of valve and ram to mount into your favorite frame, with your own modifications of course.
Will it be soon? ofcourse not!!! but its not 100% dead...

out!

If true, and it looks like it is, its still a long way from being viable as a business model. Production alone will cost a pretty penny, that would need to be made up for in the final price of the hAir.

Plus, just because he has the patent doesn't mean that litigation won't be involved.....it will be a wait and see situation until the actual trigger frame is released.

Like Luke stated, I got them from NiCad (Collin) himself. Spoke to him over the "hello-phone" on one of those rare days that he is there to answer it. As of now it seems that despite an okay on the patent, the hAir will remain a back-burner project till higher priority things are completed. I never said he's got the patent and it is coming out next week :tard:

He does have a few other neat things on the way for us Mag-toters, however I will leave the product debuts to him!

Quick question...
are any of the homebrew pnumags anywhere as impressive as what is seen in this vid...

(the hair trigger vid from deadlywind)

http://www.arowmic.com/portals/1/dw/videos/dw.hair.trigger.video.mpg

Like I said about those x-mags for sale... It's torture watching that.
