I have around $500.00

I need to make a gun choice, and I really would prefer an AGD gun.... what are my options?

I wont be playing tourney but would still like something that has the capabilities to shoot fairly fast....

ideas?

Well according to MMaglpc "AGD sucks bad" and is out of the competative paintball buisiness....

so with advice like that I might be putting my eggs in another basket. :D

Check around on ebay. I've seen e-mags go for about $500 with some nice ups (typically ULE and lvl10). I'd seriously consider an e-mag for the elec/mech mode.

If you want mech only, anything with ULE, retro (possibly x) valve, ULT, and a good trigger frame (I love CoolHand's). Mags can be had for cheap, for $500, you'll find a nice one. Whichever way you go, have fun!

I saw an emag with a ULE body, 3.2 software, lvl 10, and non-ule lowers going for $450. I think it was here on AO too. That'd be perfect for a rec player who wants to be able to shoot fast sometimes.

ya then an rt ule is what you want then
I'd reccomend an rpg paradigm if you like 45 frames or a pro custom if you want a vert frame, both from www.themagsmith.com

Or, get logic's ultimate mech mag frame formost comfortable frame...ever.

You could find a used one cheaper in the classifieds here. ULE's are great, light, fast for a mech, turns heads. I loved mine when I had it. I got mine from white wolf airsmithing, but he's no longer stocking mags :(

My personal taste of magness(I wish at least)

Warp Left ULE Body
Thrasher Body
X Valve
ULT
LX
Z grip
DW carbon fiber stick grip
Warp Feed

Used you could get that for around $6-8 hundred dollar mark.

For about 5 you could get a regular X valve, ult, ule, Intelli mag for around 400 or less in the BST and it would be just what you are looking for.

First of all that frame on the karta looks sweet!!! Second, kartas are really expensive arent they... and after buying the body he would have little money to work with...its a great idea if you have the money because karta bodies look sweet and are light!!!
P.S. that imag thing is worth a look.

Get a tac-one.
its an R/T that has an awesome body.
Have a look...

drool....
That’s $450 of hotness. It already has all of the upgrades, for cheaper than if you were to buy them individually. The only thing might be the ULT trigger. Personally I like the stock R/T feel.

link to buy it from AGD...

wow, you must be a girly man if a Tac-One is too heavy for you. Try an old school mag with the stainless bodies and valves, an old shoebox shocker, or any nice old brass gun if you think an all aluminum gun is heavy...

Look at the magsmith.com or contact Tunaman for some great pricing on new mags

It's not that tac one's are heavy, it's just that ule's are lighter. I personally don't care too much anymore about marker weight anymore. I used to obsess over it, but I'm shooting a dye matrix lcd now instead of an all ule rt and I really don't feel the ~1.4 pound difference when I play. If you're into scenario stuff, get a tac one. If you play speedball, get a ule. I went with the ule and was very happy.

I picked one up here just a few weeks ago for that price.

you might be able to squeeze an emag into your budget off of ebay. You could get an orriginal RT for about $100-150. In fact there is an RT on ebay at about $75 ending tomorrow...

AGD and AKA are the best manufactures IMO.

i love my mags as much as my viking. but my viking needs to go, and i just cant turn down a friend in need. here (http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=193307)

mags are one of the guns i have found to be most reliable, as well as vikings. mags are smaller, but about the same weight, but the main difference is that most mags are mech and that vikings get a case off of a 68/45.
