I am new to automags and have read most of the posts to get a good idea about them, there are alot of auto mags fans and I can see why. I have bought a new Tac One and I am very impressed with it. I would like to keep it in top shape so my question is should I hold the trigger in when gassing it up, when I don't if fires one shot sometimes and when I do it fires full auto. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i never hold the trigger when i gas mine up, but than i dont the problem with the one shot.
just make sure you dont have any paint when you gas it up.

is the gun new? it may be that it hasnt been broken in yet. that or the on off pin is cycling into its position. just a guess.

The gun is new and you may be right on the break in. I do believe it is in the on/off pin. I just want to keep my marker at its best. I also have an angel speed getting a predator board and eyes that is why I bought the Tac One and I am really partial to it.

Have the on/off pin on when you degas it. Then push it to off when degased. When you gas it back up you dont have the 1 shot problem.

The only on/off pin I know is my asa on/off for my tank.

Basically, after you unscrew the tank, pull the trigger.

I appreciate the info. When I pull the trigger after unscrewing the tank is usually when I get the hot shot. If I don't pull the trigger no hot shot, could not pulling the trigger be bad for the marker because if may leave air in the gun.
