Alright.

I've got a E-99 sitting here, with a battery that wont accept a charge.

I dont have any 9v's that are fresh, but i put in a semi-dead one, and it clicked the noid once, and then died.

I'm guessing a regular 9v will work, but i'd like to make sure.

If not, anyone know where to get the Stock rechargable?

A regular 9v will work fine.

I had the same problem with mine. The battery on E-99's.. or atleast mine.. is actually a 9.6v battery. I could not get a standard 9v battery to work, and had to purchase another one through Kingman.

How much did they gauge you for one?

I am not sure. Turns out both my battery and charger were dead so I bought them as a set for.. I want to say... $35?

yea, whoever said a regular 9v will work fine, it will....if you want your spyder miss-fireing and eventually not working. have you ever used a regular 9v in it? if so...thats your problem....never use anything except the 9.6 for kingman or java

I got a Java 9.6 rechargable from Action Village for less than Kingman has them for. Right around $10.00 I think.

9v will just have a higher relative internal resistance sooner, therefore will not last as long. Other than that, it will work fine... until its out of juice... then you just need another one.
Also it may trip the "low battery" light since its .6V lower.

This reminds me of when I thought I had a battery problem too. Turned out the capacitor had ripped its wire off. the wire was still attached to the board, just not the capacitor. You can't solder to a capacitor, so we had to find the same kind of capacitor online(which was really really hard), buy it, wait for it to ship, solder it back onto the board, and hope for the best. It works 100% now, but whoo, I thought I was out like $40 for a new board, or $100 for a T-board.

9 volt may work with penny mod (penny behind the noid's plunger thing). battery life with 9 volts suck, rechargeable will pay for itself in a few days.

and about having a broken capacitor, just find another stock board for $15...
