the halo feedneck sticks up out of my sub-zero about a centimeter or 1/2. if i cut it down a bit will it effect the feeding in a negative way?

It will not affect feed. Be carefull you don't cut to much off.

It wont affect anything as long as theres no brrs sticking into the feedtube

dremel or hacksaw & sanding block

What if you cut the feedneck, then replace the shell so the blue section is not as long as the shell? Wont that cause bad feeding and possibly shell breakage?

im not sure why you'd want to do that... unless you already had a cut hopper and bought a new shell... it might allow for the ball to move around and possibly disrupt feeding, not sure
