Okay AR gurus, let me know what you guys think of these two AK pistols:

Red Jacket AK (http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/programming/expand.asp?Prodid=259)

AK Concepts (http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/programming/expand.asp?Prodid=239)

I want a top rail like the first one but the second one has a lifetime warranty and already has a flash suppressor.

I like polymers...but not enough to trust them on machine guns...id go with the top one, it looks like a nice sturdy machine pistol.

although thats still awful big to be doing Tac entry with (in my amatuer opinion).

For fun plinking, maybe. I wouldn't trust one of those things with my life, though.

Pistolized rifles are pretty silly. If you want a short barreled rifle, jump through the hoops and get one. I don't know if these are built on Krink kits or not, but they look suspect.

AKs are very nice in general, but I wonder at the reliability of such a short gas system.

Edit: should have been "AK" rather than "AR" :ninja:

AK's shoot fine. I've never fired one that small but have used some full-auto AKMS' with stock folded and sporting 75 round drum mags :) Even better that weapons and ammo were provided. Having never fired an AK with a stock, I imagine these cannot be too bad.

I haven't convinced myself yet on these, we'll see.... :argh:
