This past weekend at Splat Brothers Paintball in Hopewell VA. Pacman of MXS announced there will be a celebrity event in California this fall. He mentioned Tom Kaye and William Shatner. I was led to believe this would be the event you all have been waiting for.

The press release has not happened but Pacman wanted to give the scoop to the MXS players.......... :ninja:

I might be wrong; but I heard what I heard! :argh:

Stay tuned for the official announcement, and put September 17th on your calendar for Corona, California!

Aw man - now I have to look into flights, hotel, rental car, how to get my gear there........

So when will we hear the "offical" word?

Won't be able to make a decision (about attending) until propably late Spring :(

NJ to CA and back but me a little rough on the wallet.

Officially Jungle Island is in Lake Elsinore. I have seen people place it in Corona in the past but that is a bitt off base. I used to live in the homes adjacent to JI (Horsethief Canyon) and their address is Corona (92883). But that was done just for housing pricing purposes. Homes in Corona are worth more than Lake Elsinore. The school in that housing tract is in the Lake Elsinore Unified District. So.....to make a shoart answer long......could be. :D

My team is sponsored by JI so I guess I will be making a phone call. :) If I get an answer and permission, I will let you know.

Fly into Ontario (ONT) it is the closest too. Lax is an hour on a VERY good day. Don't do it. LAX sucks more than I can possibly say. Where is COL? Another consideration is Orange County (SNA). It will cost a little more but it is still better than LAX. Also look at San Diego. About 1.5 hours but an easy fly into airport. LAX is a last resort.

Forgive me..I meant to say ONT, not COL. You're right though..I was in LA last year and flew in and out of LAX. The took my cigarette lighter. ::pouts:: But it's a HUGE HUGE airport. What I was hoping for though, was a non-stop flight, but there aren't any into ONT for me. I can have a layover anywhere from Houston to Chicago to Vegas. Anyone want to go gamble with me for a couple hours before the flight????

YEP ITS TRUE!!!!!

We are going to Jungle Island and using ALL THE ARMY VEHICLES!!! Check out their website to see all the cool toys with WORKING paintball guns retrofitted into the military guns. They only let the whole pack out for movies but we have them under contract to make this a blow out event.

We will be inviting other celebrities besides Shatner and depending on if they come or not I may or may not be heading up a team. Who knows, maybe Bill and I will team up to battle ???.

If you were there years ago for the Budd vs Tom game you know that the place is an all out fire fight. Flatlands and hills, trenches and ravines. Come prepared to shoot TONS of paint in the target rich environment.

We are working on a plan to let early registration determine if you can get into a vehicle or not. The final battle promises to be an "out of the dust and haze a line of tanks appeared" sight and experience to remember.

We are now in the process of updating the celebritypaintball.com website so spread the work and put it on the calendar!!

I would Highly recommend the AYRES SUITES CORONA WEST.

Very Clean, Easy Highway accecibility, Denny's across the street, and right next store to CC Paintball... a marvelous little shop with loads of last minute goodies.

Our team has stayed there twice and had great fun both times.
With this being a *possible* one day event I think our team will stay closer to Ontario.
having an "open" Saturday will pry spend it at Dave & Busters "Mech Wars" :shooting:

Unless there is an AO meet involving Donuts :ninja:
