Ok, so I got a new macro line today, to replace my old sorry looking one. The are the exact same length. When i took off the old line, it had some type of brass air filter/muffler thing, and it screws to the inside of the line. My new one does not have it, and in diameter, the new line is alot thinner.
Will this affect my gun any?

in my honest opinion i do not like the macro lines cause I had a problem with them rupturing so i wound up putting a steelbraided line on. that just my opinion

As long as it doesn't leak and the macro is high pressure you will be fine.

My bad, it is a steel braided. I just didn't know what the name was for it.
Does this matter?

nope. doesn't matter. stainless braided line will never wear out or burst like macro line can and sometimes does. as for the filter, no, it doesn't matter.
