Yeah, they are only about 50% though. But it's pretty much going to be just a toy. I blew the front diff in the Xterra last week pulling a friend of my brothers out of the mud. So I figure it's time to get a real toy and not break the Daily Driver.

nice choice, want something other than the xterra?

edit: same time reply

if you want something to go out with and get beat up why not just get an older CJ?

For the money, this Rubicon is a good deal and as you can tell, there is very little that needs done to make it trail ready.

yeah, that's true Muz. my parents both used to wheel alot, my mom had a renegade and my dad had a landcruiser, but my mom now wants a new Wrangler X. but she wants a pretty one, and my dad wants a wheeling one again. that'd be a nice pick-up for sure, though.

Still have to pay for the actual report. :(

Since I don't know if I am going to get the guy down to the price I want, I don't want to spend $20 on a report for no reason.

for what its worth, a few years ago i bought a used sebring coupe that had a clean carfax report. first time i waxed it i found hwere the paint was blended in, and noticed the trunk was mitsubishi and not chrysler. close inspection revealed that the entire right rear had been replaced as well as the bumper, trunk lid etc.

carfax only works if the crash was reported. off the books stuff will not show up.

Thats what I don't like about carfax, most likely people who drive uninsured a small percent wont ever report the damage.

when amanda was looking for a car she would tell the sales person that they had to do a carfax for her... Otherwise she was going somewhere that did... It worked..

What size tires and axles are on that? If those are 33s with a Dana 35/30 it will be fine on road and driving down some easy offroad trails. Anything serious though and they'll pop, hell it's easy enough to pop them with normal tires. Or are those 44s under there?

Also what does it have for a lift?

It's got an unknown brand long arm travel suspension. The welds look good though, so it looks professional. The tires are 35x12.50x15. I am not sure if the diffs are beefed up or not, but the front axles are aftermarket chomoly, unknown brand again.

It's been wheeled, I don't know how hard, but it's got trail rash. The only thing I am going to do with it right now is new swaybar disco's and a tank skid.

Don't rubicons come stock with Dana 44s or is that just the newer ones? I saw an add in my four wheeler magazine saying they come stock with solid dana 44 axles front and rear.

I thought they were an option, not 100% sure.

No, rubicons come with D44 diffs front and rear. The front axle and knuckles are a D35, so the front is a D44/D35 hybrid. With the aftermarket axles on this thing, it'll handle 35's no problem.
