So me and a buddy were lookin at the long bow and noticed some thing...

Only for the Tac One right? says on their site new models of the Vert Tac One ONLY Right?

well WRONG

http://www.specialopspaintball.com/shop/prodimages/2100020a.jpg

Notice how this shroud mounts 3 holes screws right? Clasic RT Rail fine... Wingless TAC ONE? nope

So thier description is a tad misleading is it not? so i called them just now before i started this post... asked them they are like uhhhh hold on.... 10 mins later well we thing AGD Must of changed thier design of the rail sorry.

Any who just thought id point this piut to any one wanting to buy one will need to either drill, tap and dye them sevs or send it to AGD because i know they will happily do it for you.

Just curious to hear what you guys gotta say about this...

-EDIT-

Mind you i could be wrong my Tac is still in the mail... i hope :)

I dont know if I'm understanding you right but I know the silver tabs on the rail come out and there are threaded holes for the shroud under that. Again, I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but its what I got from your post.

yes that’s what I mean but so there is a place to screw it in, see i asked SpecOps about that and showed them that picture and said that’s not the correct raid and won’t work so even they didn’t know what they are talking about..

See i don’t have the Tac in hand yet and im trying to put a idea trough its steps to attach a stock from the rear of the marker and how SpecOps goes about doing it IMO is retarded because it eliminates the use of your RIS rails... but now I think i have a idea for a design that might work and extend the top RIS over the *45 ones and leave both available for use.

But for now im going to have to prototype in Studiotools to get a visual reference prototype till I get the tac and make a dead on version to mill out… waterjet FTW

Makes me mad that SpecOps does not know their own products well enough to make a sale.

From what Sudz wrote, it doesn't sound like you are in the kind of dilemma that you think you are. Sudz said that the silver tabs are removable and that they're covering the holes that you need to attach the Long Bow stock to, so it sounds to me like your "problem" is solved. And if you wanted to keep the RIS rails so much, why bother getting the Long Bow in the first place? ;)

Anyway. Good luck with it, I'm sure it will all work out in the end. :D

Both tac-one I got from AGD came with ULE rail without any silver covers and without any screw holes on rail itself. Like one that is located on top on this picture.

So his point is (IMO) that SpecialEDpaintball should make it clear on their website that in order to use this product you should have certain rail on your marker.

Considering that most of their products got no explanation at all good luck waiting for the one explaining tac-one problem..

Ok, I'll link to the rail my friend has. He got the Tac-one and the shroud too. The silver tabs come out and there are hols underneath for the shroud to mount to, so I don't see the problem.

Here is the pic:

The Tabs are out and the shroud mounts to where the screw holes are. The rail shown seems to be the exact same as your showing, Please let me know if that clears it up.

There is an older style of TAC-1 rail that the Longbow was designed to work with

if you order a Tac-1 from AGD, request a longbow ready rail

yea this is actually kinda old news, Spec-ops has known about this for at ;least a couple months, if you order a full gun from Spec-Ops it'll be set, but like DOc Zox said, you have to request the old style rail anywhere else
