saw this on PBN, and i thought it was a great thread, so i think AO could make it even better...

f a paintball gun turned into a car, what kind of car do you think it would be?

what i think
DM's - Ferrari, fast, different type of look but still awesome
Angel - Porsche, some people think all nice cars are porsches, smooth lines
Ego - Lambourghini, rips, sleek looks
Autococker -old jags, sweet cars, when they work
Tippman - toyota, reliable is what they are
Spyder - ford, lots of em, for cheap, and easy to work on
Ion -corvette, both have a fiber/plastic shell
Shocker - maybe a mustang?
mags- '69 chevelle SS, gas pigs, fast as hell
AKA's-lotus 7, can be made to be gas efficent, fast, and uber light
phantoms/pumps- motorcycles, require more skill than drivng

I think the mag should be an H1 hummer: Gas guzzler that will go through anything in its path.

i think that the ion would be some kind of kit car... like you take a civic cassis(sp) and then basically end up putting on a ferrari shell...

I'd depart a little from your list actually -

DYE Matrix - Zonda, Performance at a premium.
Angel - Aston Martin DB8, Classic lines.
Ion - Toyota MR2 Mk1 and Mk2 (1985 - 1995), The average joe's performance car.
Mag - Ford GT/40 Mk1, Turned the world upside down yeeeeeeeeears ago and still not all that bad.
Shocker SFT - Lotus Exige, The MR2 Mk3 as it should have been.
Ego - Ariel Atom, Ludicrous power to weight ratio.
Timmy - Honda Civic, Just add rice.

Edit: Anyone think I'm obsessed with mid-engine cars?

DYE MATRIX would be a Bugatti Veyron, not a Pagani Zonda.

Oh, and if you were obsessed with mid engine cars, you would of said Timmy was an NSX.

i tihnk a DM4 would be a bugatti due to the speed and slightly more curving lines of a DM4. A DM5 and 6 seem to fit a zonda. Also, a timmy would be more like a crossfire or something along those lines. fast, can be had for cheap, but add some of the fancy doodads and the price starts to fly.

If paintball guns were cars I don't think they would sell very well on the account that a paintball gun can't actually go anywhere under its own power and I don't think a person alive could ride
in /on one

An Ego wouldn't be a LAMBORGHINI because first of all they don't rip, and secondly, Lambo's are notorious for being crappily made compared to other supercars.

I'd argue the Veyron on the simple basis of the fact that they aren't the fastest guns in production.

And I can't in good conciense call a Timmy an NSX for the simple fact that an NSX doesn't have a million and one appearance packages which do nothing for performance as a general rule. Timmy = Rice = Civic.

EDIT - And yes, Cow, that would be the Ariel Atom of which I spoke.

no, mustang GT(or msutang in general) is a more proven and reliable car. for a classic mustang or any other 65-72 muscle i would have to go with a mag. for the newer mustangs 95 or w/e to present i choose a viking, very reliable, affordable but expensive with aftermakret modifications and good on gas(atleast the stangs i've seen are could be wrong there though)

Hey rudz, if you like Emags stay tuned for what I got coming. I finished her and only got a couple tattoos to do on her and hopefully a signature from Tom. This past weekend Sk8termog confused her for an Xmag  and he had me promise to not put her in the same MOTM as him. I think he has something special coming as well and probably had me promise that for my own good :tard: BTW anyone here know of any good places that do tattoos PB guns?

I said Mustang GT, because my friend had one and it looked cool, but performed crappy. But then again my friend is a dumbass and probably drove it to the ground. So I guess you're right. I also agree with you one the older mustangs for the automags, but after finishing building my emag I think she has surpassed my expectations for perfomance ;)

XMOD RULES!!! :headbang: :headbang:

Automags are Volkswagens... every older player has had one at somepoint.
They are simple in design, fairly easy to work on, you can always get one going, and they can take romping around sand dunes like no other if that’s your kind of thing.

DM’s are not quite a super exotic, but they are nice. I will branch out and call DM’s the Porsche of paintball. Look nice, very smooth, exceptional styling, and not over the top.
DM4-boxter
DM5/C-911
DM6-the carrera GT or that new cayman

I completely agree with calling Autocockers old Jaguars. Great when they are running.

The super exotics I feel are the private label or 1 of 1 guns.

Timmys are rice burners with fart cans and a pointless spoiler.

Tippmann. Easy Jeep.

^^
This would imply that an E-Mag was as popular today as an Impreza WRX STi, which sadly, it is not, since it seems around here the Impreza is about as popular as the first Ford Tarus was once uppon a time.

Dont forget the waiting list

I Chose the 65 Belvedere 426 Max Wedge for these reasons: Big and Heavy (Mag is from other peoples perspectives) but lightened up with aluminum, the Hemi was introduced and it overshadowed the 426/413 Maxwedges/Ramchargers kinda like all these new electros, From a reliability standpoint a Hemi is very tempermental compared to a wedge (they actually worked from the factory  ) and just like a Mag they were as slow (family car) or as Fast ( Dominating Super Stock Drag Racing) as you wanted like a mag Classic Mag all the way to a D-Mag.

the best part is the fact the Ariel Atom uses a Honda k20 engine powerplant ;)
