If I understand this correctly, I could use my emag valve in mech frame, with only switching the on/off assembly?

Excellent, thanks!

What on-off asembly will you be using? The retro/emag valve uses a .750" on-off pin when used in the mechanical frame. For reference, the emag length is .712".

The plan is to be able to use the one valve in both my Emag, and a mag with a Mech frame that I'm building as a project. I don't have the cash to get a second valve right now, so what I wanted to do was buy the Stock On/Off Assembly (http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=399&categoryID=23) and just swap out the On/Off for the appropriate Mag type. Eventually I'll get a second valve for the mech mag, but for now to complete the project and have a working marker, I thought this would be the most cost effective way to do it.

Well I got an Emag Valve in my mech gun with a .712 on and off pin and it works fine. I think you could switch them out and not worry but im not sure.

Cool, that's good to know.

While it will probably work with the emag on-off pin, it is very probable that you will have a lot of reactivity in your trigger. As the sear wears, it will get worse.

You don't need to buy the whole on-off assembly, just the pin.

I was thinking that the On/Off would be easier to swap out.

I'm using an emag valve in a mech setup, classic rail and sear. I put in a regular oring instead of the quad that comes standard in the emag and picked up a longer pin from my local shop which was .770. I can't controll it, it goes into runaway with a preset 850 tank, with a quick pull its 3 shot burst. With the quad it works fine but I ended up installing a ULT and it works fine.
