How many pods?

How many pods do you take on the field with you? 4? 3? How long do they last you?

Im curious, cus Im looking for a new pack, and Im used to carrying 5 with me horizontally, and most of what im finding iare 4 verticle.

Im debating. :confused:

I carry an empire 4+5 action pack
Its perfect for me if i want to carry 4 pods for speedball i can and for long games i can hold 9 pods so it works great for me

I only go through about a full loader and about 3 full pods for 2 speedball games.

I carry 4 onto the field with me, but only usually use 2-3 + my hopper. I have a Dye Attack Pack, used to have one of the Blackstar Lightspeed packs(which ruled) but alas someone stoled its :(

Are you able to put an empty back into it ? Once in a while I will do that in a game.

like an empty pod into one of the loops or actual pod holders?

If your talkin about the elastic loops i can usually get them in their with some effort
and with the pod holders i can get them back into it in a couple seconds

I use a Dye attack pack - I think it will hold like 13. I use 2 - and my starting position is back.

3. Two are in my Proto 3pack and the other is socketed into my Qloader. So 300rds on the field at a time.

i take 3. i play front, dorito side. most the time i use two and im on my third pod by the time the game is over. i have never shot more then a hopper and three pods.

I have a System X 4+3 that i use. I generally keep 4 pods in the holders, none in the elastic holders unless im playing a super long game. I usually only use a hopper and a pod or two every couple games. With the actual pod holders I can easily put my pods back in, but I cant with teh elastic loops, at least not on the field.

Depends on the game,

for me speedball - 4 pods front 6 pods back position

rec ball - 2 pods

senario game - as much paint as my airtank that i use allows. since i'll be out there until my air runs out.

I use a reds 3.1 pack (holds 4 pods), I start the day off with a hopper full of paint and 3 pods, for rec days and practice that will last me 3 or 4 games depending on how good the other players are. I can get by with carying only 1 pod most of the time, but I like to have extra just in case.

using a redz 3+2 i carry 3-4 usually (deffinately 4 for 5-man tourneys)

I carry all 4. Use a hopper and 1-2 pods a game shooting mech. Electro I shoot a little bit more.

Not so hard Core:
No Pack
Maybe a 100 round pod in a pocket. Don't always use it.

I've always played with a max of four pods. Then again I don't have a ramper so that might explain it. If it gets really hot and heavy you may run short but you can borrow one from a team mate if that is still allowed.

Two pods + full Reloader B. Almost always go through them all. I do it because it makes me more agressive. When I am running low (80 balls or so) I really try to work my way up, and once I hit 30 or so do a run through. If I had 8 pods, I would be a puss. :ninja:

when I get my new tank and pack upgrades ill carry 10 pods and enough air to shoot em all.

I carry two pods on 45* angles in my JT velcro fully adjustable pack. I love it. they slide right out for me, very easy to grab.

Generally I carry no less then 4 pods. In the past I have carried up to 9 pods and burned them up in a single 5-man game. It was for first, "what can I say". :rolleyes: Really though I believe that I'm shooting less and getting better results. 2-3 pods is the max I currently shoot tournament wise per game. Often it is only one pod.

REC games I always carry 8 pod pack. It seems to be enough to last.

I use a Qloader pack, filled with regular 140 rnd pods. Thats 4+3, but I only use the 4 main because the three hoops are so hard to deal with. I usually take all four pods+hopper onto the field with me when I play, and use 2-4 pods by the time 2-3 games have been played. Works out perfectly for me, cause my marker can BARELY shoot every ball I take, off a 3k fill, and I refill every few games. Paint and air.

If we're talking about individual games, I use about 1-1.5 pods a game, rarely less than a hopper, usually only if I get out right away.

My favorite so far was with my 92/4500 on my back running a remote coil to the fill nipple on my 68/45 on the gun. For that occasion I used two pod pack and had something like 16 pods. :wow:

THe most paint I've ever slung in a normal game has been around 3 pods + hopper. Generally I make do with a hopper + 1 pod. For casual play I'll wear a 2 pod pack, for everythign else, it's 4 pods.

When using a semi I run a redz 3+2 pack ( most compfy). I carry three but seldom pod on the field. I have a great back player he runs thru 3 or 4 pods a game, playing 3 man.

I carry 4 pods. I use 2 -3 quite often, but have almost run out of paint on a couple of occasions if the games get close the the 5 minute mark.

I carry 6 for the longer woods games. Never more than that, and often 4 because I have a bottle of water and a pod full of o-rings/rag/extra squeegee stuffed in there as well. Damn Boy Scouts. :D If I actually decide to step onto the airball field, I usually wind up playing back, left side (This is humorous to watch, as I shoot a classic mag with a single trigger frame and PF - 1994 tourney technology :D), and use a smaller 3 pod pack.

I mainly play woods... with my Micro PnueMag I usually carry 4 pods for two games on my NXe 4+3+2 harness & 1 full hopper. For me, this is more then enough and I can lay down some serious paint when needed.

Me too, I use a Redz pack with 2 140 round pods and one 100 for refilling when I havent shot as much, Then the 200 or so balls in my Warp and revvy.

On a normal rec day I carry 3-4 pods on me. Generally I shoot a hopper and sometimes a pod a game. The refs will often turn games around more than once so I can stay out there for 4 games.

Tournaments can vary. Depending on who we're playing and whether it is 3-man or 5-man I'll take as few as 2 or as many as 5. I usually end up playing front so I try to cut down on how much I have to bring out but my backmen suck so I end up shooting their lanes.
