I oddly remeber seeing a thread like this, but I think it was for verts... hmm anyway my question is a bit different.. is there any rubber grips for e-mags out there ? are those carbon fiber ones rubber ? i'm not to fond of putting metal panels on my frame.. that could scratch.. nor plastic

I don't think there are any all rubber grips made specifically for the emags. Luke has panels with rubber inserts (http://www.lukescustoms.com/page0013.htm) , but you probably have already seen them. As far as I know, they are just 45 panels, so you should be able to find some.

emags don't use 45 panels, they require their own panels. They are easy enough to make custom ones, but Luke does make some nice sets.

With the alluminum grips he also sends some rubber inserts so the aluminum doesnt contact the gun. This way there wont be any chance of scratching the frame.

I dont own any of these grips so correct me if im wrong, but i dont believe i am.

Theres a thread on AO :

http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?p=2176825#post2176825

And heres their website :

http://www.cougar-river.com

To be honest I ordered some and waited 2 months,
and what I recieved I woulnd use. They are bad quality,
but they emailed me when I sent the pics and complained and they are
supposed to be making me some more.

Here are some pics of the ones I recieved:

he got a bad set and they are being re made, honestly, alot of people got great sets, his were not the best quality by far, but the cougar river grips have been featured in this months and past MOTM contests, and shown theyre beauty, dont judge the grips based on one persons bad experience, i have several sets and i love them , as do alot of other owners.

Well, you are a bit off, the insert is more for comfort, it doesnt protect the metal grip from hitting the frame. But my luke panels have never scratched the frame anyways.

I don't sell Emag panels with the rubber inserts any more, those were discontinued almost 2 years ago.

The 45 panels with inserts will not work on the Emag they are way to small.

The aluminum panels will not scratch your marker. (powder coated or raw)

I also sell plastic panels if you are worried about it.

CF stands for Carbon Fiber, so "no" they are not rubber.

AGD is the only one that makes rubber panels for the emag.

Everyone agree's with my opinion of the CF grips I recieved.
I am hoping I can agree with rudz after all is said and done.
I have seen some pics of some really fantastic looking CF grips.
Cougar River has communicated to me that I will recieve another set.
I waited 2 months for the first set, so at this point I have no reason
to disbelieve them.
And I absolutely will post pics of them whether I am happy with them or not.
I hope I will be.

I offered to ship the bad ones back but never got an answer.
I guess....what would they do with them...and who would want them ?

I know that CF stands for carbon fiber, but I thought it was a thin sheet of carbon fiber for looks encased in some sort of rubber.. so it's carbon fiber with a rubber layer.. but now I guess its straight up carbon fiber
