Looks like something you'd get from an Apple store. The gun, parts kit, oil, 3 peice barrel kit are all inside this cute little cube. http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/hsughwiggle.gif

Love the control wheel. One thing I noticed though....it's possible to shut the gun OFF while playing. Happened to me today. http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/ohnoes.gif

Wow. Its disturbing how quickly Angels have become more and more like Windows. Pretty soon, you'll have the blue screen of death :D

HAHAH! You guys rock, I miss the AO crew. :)

***Oh, and to answer where I got it. Not from Impact, from California. :) ;)

I played an entire day with it today at practice at Captn' Carls, it shot GREAT!! It's difficult getting the trigger where I like it though, I really have to spend some time getting it where I want it. I mainly play at Captn' Carls, Del Hobbies, and Paintball Invasion on Saturdays sometimes. We're going to go GPL D2 next season.

Another thing I noticed, and this may just be my particular gun, is that it really is an air hog. Like....going through 1500 psi after just 2 pods and a hopper.

It did get better as the day progressed, this gun might have a long break in period.

Otherwise, the "Hard Ramp" feature is SICK. You can set the shot delay to activation, then what BPS must be maintained before it kicks in, then when it deactivates.

The modes are a riot too. I made a little video today with the owner of paintsplat.com today at the field, demoing the gun and going over some features. I misquoted the weight savings, since we just got done a game and he grabbed me off the field. I said "10 grams" when I should have said "2". woops.

He didn't put it up yet, should be up tonight. I'll post the link when I have it.

Here is a better pic of the screen. It's hot!

Tells you if the eyes are on/off and if a ball is detected in the breech.

You gotta give it to WDP, they promote the hell out of EVERYTHING. Throw enough mud against the wall, and some is bound to stick. Like the "shot buffer"

Mango
07-02-2006, 05:23 PM
hahaha I know. You gotta give them credit though, they stand behind what they create 110%.

I just checked my LPR on my gun....it had ALL 6 SHIMS IN IT. 0_0

Also, the dwell on these A1's can be tuned as low at 6.0. Woot! Fixed my efficiency problem.

Actually, I still have my Minimag after like....11 years, I've been shooting my G7 Fly for the past year or so, and this is an addition to the family. :)

Having a REAL career helps with the gun whoring. :D

I would imagine getting paint in that wheel would be a pita to clean?

Mango
07-03-2006, 09:10 PM
Well, they'd have to shoot me from behind, and my hand would have to be off the grip of the gun for that to happen. Which, the likelyhood is very slim. However, the wheel is sealed and there is a plastic protective cover overlayed on the board inside the marker. They kind of already thought of that. :)

What I do, is carry a can of compressed air spray, like the stuff you get from a computer supply store. It's perfect for removing paint and debris from the eyes, around buttons, etc. :)

This is the video that the guy took of me after practice this weekend. I did misquote the weight savings, I said "10 ounces" when I should have said "4 ounces" but I was amped after an intense practice game. We actually did 2 games back to back and this guy caught me as I was walking back to my car.

Otherwise, I did my best to be informative and show the features of the marker.

It actually does rip pretty good but you just can't hear it though the shotty microphone on that video camera.

Watch the marker as I shoot it, it literally doesnt move. When WDP says "no kick" they actually mean it. This thing just dosen't move when you shoot, it's a cool feeling.

What field is that? I don't recognize it at all...

Looks like an awesome marker. I'll wait a while until the used price comes down to 700 or so. I'll pick on up then. Is there any reinforcement on the OLED screen? It seems like some people may get hit there and have it break quite easily...

Mango

Captn' Carls in Chester, PA.

It is very protected and sturdy. No chance in it breaking unless you smack it with a hammer.

great video mango! i can't believe how small it is. if i didn't know better, i would have thought you were an employee of WDP! good job,.

Mango

Thanks RK! Gotta represent AO and WDP. I kind of look at WDP as what AGD could have been, had they not fell apart at the seems. Both companies have always made superior products (in my mind).

I just downloaded the USB Drivers, update software program and updated gun software for the A1. WDP is working overtime to correct the initial release problems with the marker.

Now, I just need the replacement eye cover peice and this thing will totally rip. I used the recommended settings posted by Ken Crane and holy god, this thing rock.

Damn that is a tiny gun. I'm amazed how much they keep taking off with each rendition of their guns, ofcourse I haven't been paying much attention lately either.

So Mango is now a school teacher? Or did I read that wrong?? If so I envision Kindergarten Cop Mango screaming at a kid that "It's not a TUMOR!"
