View Full Version : Space Shuttle July 4th 2006 ?

I just went outside and took some pics 2:38 PM EST from the west coast area of Florida.
I took about 30 or so pics thinking I was shooting the Discovery taking off.
But now that I look at them it looks like a passenger jet.
The vessel was heading north. The clouds were fairly low so if the shuttle took
off over the Atlantic I may not have been able to see it.
I thought the bottom of the shuttles were black, so I dont know if this is the shuttle or not.
2x teleconverter with a 400mm lense, D50.
Whatcha think ?

here are a few I took from the space coast. Melbourne Causeway its south of the launch, not sure how far though.

Agreed... looks like an airliner to me too.
