So I made a orignal post here (http://forum.specialopspaintball.com/index.php?showtopic=66392&hl=longbow) That was locked by a fearfull "Moderator" due to the fear of rapmart roumers starting. Over at Special ops.But I have some very imporatant information from specops in regards to this and I can no longer update the old thread... This information is VITAL for every one to know who owns a tac-one thats lookign to buy a longbow or is going to buy a Tacone outside of Specops and buy their Longbowkit sepratly.

AND comes down to theres a sexy new rail that I must have :)

So first lets start clean here...

The Setup:

The Longbow kit had 3 Main parts. The Air trough Stock, The Shroud, and the feed adapter. The feed adapter attaches directly to the Tac-One body, the problem arises where the Shroud attaches. The shroud uses a total of 6 Screws (3 on each side) to attach to the Wingless rail pictures here:

The Silver tabs come off to unvail 3 holes on each side.

Here you see the stock attached to the shround and the mounting plates theres a Photo here (http://img50.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tacrail8cp.jpg) of the rail with the tabs removed.

Now here is the problem... The Wingless rail is no longer being made by AGD and is discontinued for some time. The new rail is called the Milled rail only 3.5 OZ

You can see it here with the warp body sitting on top of the rail.

The problem is there no mounting holes AGD wanted to make the rail FAR lighter than it orignaly was so they removed all excess material so if you buy a TAC ONE or orders a Tac and have the new milled rail you can not use the Longbow kit in its entirity BUT there is a fix...

The Fix
First option is to buy the TacOne pre made with the longbowkit from SpecOps IMO pricey and they will ship you a tac with the older rail.

But i got this PM Last night.

Sniper1. AGD now manufactures "Longbow Ready" rails for Special Ops. They changed their design on us. We received them, opened them, and WTF, they would not work. We called them and worked out a deal that they would make special rails just for the Longbow. Our TacOne we sell will work. I know you have bought yours already so you have two options:

1. Call AGD and get two "longbow ready" rails.

2. Get the Air Through T2W stock for your Tac. This will allow you to pull your internals without removing the shroud every time, and gives more mask clearance than the Longbow Shroud and Stock.

I agree with you, we need to place a huge disclaimer on our website and I will speak to our Admin about it. I hope this helps. Good luck.

So now from my understanding there is a new railcalled the "Longbow Ready Rail" so this is a new breed of rail but it has the mounts. Now I have my dealer who i get all my AGD parts from who actualy has a few old skool pump kits left hes the man :), But he is going to find out of AGD will sell the rails direct apon request because at this time Specialops does not sell or stock just the rails they are buying Tac-One with the raill all ready on there.

So this is a fix. But this information is no where on the site and no one is aware of this so if you Own a Tac-One with a new model MILLED RAIL you can not use the Shroud or stock in the longbow kit you also like me would need to obtain wither a older wingless rail or the new "Longbow Ready" rail.

What id like to know if any one has a picture of this rail to post it I would like ot know what the diffrence is of this rail vs the wingless rail.

So when buying a Tac-One from this point on you HAVE to make sure you buy it with the Longbow Ready rail OR Buy the Rail sepratly.

If any one has questions im happy to answer them and I will update this thread as i find out more informatio about the Longbow Ready Rail's availabulity.

Nwo i jsut got of the phone with AGD and this new rail is in fact a cross between the milled rail and the wingless rail, essentialy they milled out all the excess material JUST Like they did to the milled rail but skipped the area where they tap thoes 3 holes on each side for mounting things... :)

I am now goign to see if i can trade my rail in for one of these or buy one.
