its a LESS THAN LETHAL gun

it is not meant for paintball, only authorized law enforcement(im assuming they shouldnt be selling it to anyone else either)

gun was also made by tom kaye

if i recall that gun shoots bullet type projectiles that are housed int he big round disk on the front

That's what I meant by "military paintball." I guess it sounded like I meant milsim :p

It's not a paintball gun though. it does not fire paintballs. It fires pepperball or paint filled rounds with rifled shells. Not paintballs. It's a military/law enforcement less than lethal gun. It really can't be called anything else, including a paintball gun of any kind.

Why would AGD "start from scratch" when It came time for the Tac-1...

Seems to me they could have put a bigger dent in the Scenario market if they "refit" a Mag into gutted FN molded body.

BTW, it is a less lethal, NOT less than lethal...

The plastic balls are made by perfect circle paintball (http://www.pcpaintball.com/index.html) (Partially owned by Tom K). All of the balls are .68 but the trick is that if you but a model 98 from pepperball they accept all the liability for shooting it at someone not involved in playing paintball. It is about the product liability..

Has anyone else noticed how ridiculously priced these are?

And we wonder where our tax $$ goes......

Do we think maybe the cost is because of an absorbed liability on the FN as well?

The FN303 can and will shoot normal paintballs, just at a velocity you would not want to shoot someone with (the lowest I could get it was 400fps). Also, as a paintball gun it wouldn't be anything special besides looks. It only hold 15 rounds and the accuracy of the gun is in the Fn303 rounds, not the gun it's self. So if you shoot normal paintballs out of it, it don't have the same accuracy.

I am still looking for another FN303 to fool with. Tom gave me a few ideas on how to get the velocity down. I just don't want to fool with the only one I got.

And now, for your FN303 viewing pleasure.

Well I certainly hope the high price is what helped fund Tom's retirement from AGD. Realistically they are cheaper than anything from pepperballs, and not any more expensive than a new ETac (retail price that is), plus you get a whole package.

I remember seeing tech articles regarding a bullet shaped paint projectile on airgun.com, but never completely realized it was a reality until I saw this post. I have to say the pictures are most impressive. Yet another design win for AGD.

I remember the WTO 'riots' in Seattle several years ago and watching the police officers shooting the pepperballs at point blank in the face of gatherers and protestors. I'm glad they didn't have something more accurate than the junky tippman's they were using, because if they had these they would certainly be putting out peoples eyes (and replacing them with pepper spray projectiles).

On another note, so in true AGD fashion do these 'markers' work with all of the other Automag based products? I wouldn't be surprised if I could throw in any 'mag valve or mount on a Z grip with out modification to these (so long as it wasn't an RT Pro valve or body). :D

When Boston won the World Series a couple years ago there were quite a few injuries and one death from an FN303.

No, no parts are swapable. There are a few o-rings and that is about it. Although the valve and sear look similar to a mag, they are different.

Those are just scuba tanks mounted in a Pellican case.

BerSerK

well a setup like that is way better than my 3000psi scuba, I wouldn't mind having 4350psi and my own compressor but those thing are so expensive. My scuba is made of aluminum and I paid a good amount for it, I wonder how much two fiber wrapped tank like that cost...

anyway I was just saying that it's a nice setup in a nice package.
