I just used my e-mag for the first time today. It came used from ebay and i got it for a good price. It's got the older Emag valve with level 10, and the seller said it was tuned and everything. When i gassed up the gun, it shot perfectly, nothing but straight consistent shots. However, the back regulator nut (the thingy used to change the fps) leaks air ever so quietly. I read the manual and it said that if it leaks like that, then the velocity is too high. Yet I got it chrono'd today, and at 286 fps, it still leaks.

Any suggestions? Maybe a bad o-ring? The gun shot fine all day.

Everything as in put some lube through the ASA and wipe off the externals of the valve and bolt?

Or everything as do the above and take it apart and clean everything?

What tank and reg? Preset or adjustable? Just wondered on the input.

add.Could be an older piston. See here. http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=112&categoryID=23

Tank is a 850psi preset Pure Energy 68/4500. Reg is.. uh.. the Emag valve?

And that link is probably what i need. I'll need to double check once I get a handheld chronograph, or once I play again. Whichever comes first.

If it is venting below 300, replace your reg piston and O-ring.

Clean the back of the valve. Change the oring around the regulator piston assembly. If it still leaks after that, order a new regulator piston assembly.
