Thanks Alan, it takes a special kind of mag-smith to be willing to do that. It may be old, it may be ugly, it may be a ton of old parts, but it's my old ugly ton of parts.

I thought about doing that with my old pump mag, but the more I thought about it the more I thought it would be uncomfortable. It treally does look great that way, add a 6 pack and a side car and your set!

Holy uncomfortable to use....

I could not imagine trying to use a pump set up in that fashion. I had a Jackyl frame on my sniper, and it was great for Semi-auto, but was completely uncomfortable on the pump setup.

Maybe if there was a vertical handle or something, but it doesn't even look comfortable to try and pump - unless you like shooting yourself in the fingertips

dahoeb- Yea, I'm a tad fatalistic

StygShore- Actually it's not bad at all. I've played with a z grip for while, so it does not feel as alien as you may think. Oh, and yes, the taso barrel is something to watch out for =).

very sexy, if the feed tube was closer to the body, it would be fantastic

Vert feed?

*F* vert feed.

Offset stock class mod. Just pull that power feed off, drill and tap a hole, and use a phantom feed block. DONE!

Nice but weird... Not sure if a Z-grip was the best choice, but it's something special for sure! I like it. :D

Drill and tap into what? It's a Minimag body the breach is in the barrel...

The mainbody.

A phantom feedblock is held on by one small, shallow screw. It doesn't need "feedneck threads." It's just a rounded delrin tube, essentially, with a lil' tiny screw holding it on. I realize the breech is in the barrel. I own a p-mag myself, and a lvl7 was my second gun ca. '96 (pre RT).

nice jobe luke!

another suggestion would be to dremel some of that length off the feed. I did that on an old 68 classic and it worked miracles. It will still sitl crooked, but you can make it flush with the top of the marker and then it wouldnt make a diff what way it sat.

Here, I MS Painted it. I left the color difference so that you could see how much of a drop and a difference it makes. This is a 5 minute mod with a demel tool.

We know he didn't do the work, we suggested u let his do his vert feed mod to the minimag, and have it cut low, to bring to feed close to the body. Great work tho.
