Returning To Paintball

Well work and other obligations kept me off the field for over a year now, and I'm finally making the effort to get back. I look around and guns have changed a lot, and I'm kind of curious what I should know before hitting the field so I don't look like a fool? Who makes these EVOs and Conquests I've been seeing? When did barrel cover become the appropriate term for barrel condoms? I'm so confused :D

"condoms" confuses all my non-paintballer friends, so thats what I still say.
I think the term "cover" came around when fields started providing them with rentals because they're safer. You can't hand a 10 year old a rental gun and tell him not to lose his condom.

Oh and change Conquest and Evo to Cyborg and Ego, good lord the gun names are crazy even :)
