For all you tac-one owners out there, does it get annoying having your gun not operate under

700 psi or something?

why would that be annoying?

I can't even go that low. But seriously, why do you need to?

cause I might get one and it seems that the tac-one and some other mags are the only guns that wont work below 700 psi.

thats like 400 shots down the drain.

not trying to be a troll but why do oyu refer to mags as a tac? i mean they all have the same valve, so essiantially all mags operate the same way

What size tank do you run? Maybe knowing how many shoots you can get out of it will help you. With a 68/3000 you will be dumping about a hopper and 3-4pods, help me if I am wrong guys. If you shoot more than that in a game you may have a problem, but the soulution is all day air.

I run all my Xvalved mags at 1000psi input.
You cant count on anything under 800 left on a tank.
You can always get a bigger tank.
114, 92, 90 ,88 ci.

the rt valves will shoot a paintball @ 400psi. It just won't do it any faster than a classic mag at that pressure and have little-to-no reactivity.

Well if the loader you are using is fast enough you can always remove the lvl 10. Not only will it be more efficent, but it will operate lower into the tank.

I slapped a classic valve on my Tac-One so that I can run CO2 on a remote and also be able to play a good portion of the day on one fill. I have scubas, but with as many people that play at the woodsball field and have no air its better for the game in general to be more efficent. More people can play for longer periods of time.

Not being able to shoot to as low of a psi does not mean worse efficiency. Its just that a mag shoot great shots per tank until that magic number of about 600-700 where the valve does weird things. Still, with a 3000 psi fill my 92/45 lasts about 1200 shots. I would say about the same maybe a little more on a 68/45 full fill.

And no it doesn't get anoying unless you play with no air fills. Outlaw my tank lasts me about one day of play. Though if you play on a field with all day air there is no problem as long as your tank lasts the amount you need in one game.

Yeah, it really sucks or something, maybe we should dump our Tac One';s and all get ubber mad upped Tippys.

No, it is never a concern and the performance level of the Tac-One by far out weighs any loss in shot count. And I have never noticed any problem with not having enough air running on a 68/4500.

Yep.. it annoys me a lot on all mags

That being said, after being asked by Rogue in an argument years ago to validate my claim that that constituted a lack of efficiency with numbers of shots per fill, I found myself unable to prove the stance.

That said, its annoying, but one easily gets over it.

But I dont play at fields that you have to pay at, I play at my friends house where there is no all day air.

I'm getting a nitroduck 90/4500, how many shots will that get me?

infinate. Well pretty close to that.

Probably about 1500 or more. Do you shoot a case per day? If so you can probably afford a back up 68/4500

pbsabre, other markers may shoot at lower in tank pressure than mags, but at the lower in tank pressures, many of those same markers start to lose velocity (more bounces, shorter trajectory) and consistency, so you end up wasting more paint. Mags simply tell you "look buddy, if you are not going to give me enough air to do my job right, then I'm not going to do it at all."

After much experimentation, I figured I was able to get a hopper & five pods out of my 68/4500. So, I modified my vest to hold five pods - so when I'm out of paint, I'm out of air & have to leave the field anyway.

Again, not a real problem.
