Is it me or have things slowed down here on AO? Just seems to me there are less people on and the threads seem slow.

It seems like it's been a steady decline since TK retired. I miss the days of logging on and finding Tom up to something new, it's just not the same around here. :(

Hey Luke I really like that front grip of yours. I will get it as soon as I get my warp body so I can send it to you to get the front tip milled along with the rail.

I am shopping for a new CNC mill now, so you may see some new stuff in the near future. But, with TK retiring I find my interests changing. I will be purchasing a new mill, but I'm not sure how long I can stay in this market... :(

Yes I am unsure of what those stats are telling us. The graph seems impressive with all the pretty colors and whatnot....but we can see that the # of hits are way outnumbering pages. I suppose that is normal? Lots of lurkers?

It seems that the site is definately getting away from the informative community it was in the past and would love to see some year to year comparisons.

If anyone would know though, it would be TK. After all he is the one sponsoring our traffic and bandwidth here.

THANKS!!!!

The graph shows a natural cycle over the course of the year. Your in a slow time. At least, I think thats what it shows...

I don't think those webstats are good metrics to use for determining human activity on AO... how many avg. daily posts is a better indicator... because an actual person is making those numbers go up.

zOMG! Cue Lives?!

You remember the days when mods were active... we had people from AGD posting alot.

Comon, tell them, i'm not alone!

I think it would help if we knew each other better. :p Some of you old timers have been to AO events and met other AOers, so there's a face to the names. Maybe after Shatner things will pick up again?

There's not a whole lot of reason for the old-timers to be around much anymore... a lot of us keep in touch through other means... besides AO.

That social energy that AO once had... the liveliness... the drama... that made AO what it was... is gone now. Those numerical logs don't record that... but it's quite clear to me.

AO just doesn't have a personality anymore.

After shatberball I'm sure we will liven up, but the again I kno a lot of us are on other forums, 2 of them are made up of ao almost solely ao members, so maybe that's why, mcb is pretty fun, beo has a hot chik thread, and thorums is fun too

Definatley down of the last few years. That graph only shows that it't sustained poor activity for the last year. ;)

Wasn't that long ago that if you didn't log in everyday your last posts were on page 2-3. Now I'm off for weeks at a time and half the first page hasn't changed much.
