Can the original 68 Automag accept the newer valve from the RT? I may be getting a 68 Automag in the near future, and I am wondering if I can possibly upgrade the valve.

Yes any valve except the origional RT. So the RT Pro valve is fine along w/ the X valve and all the other forms of the retro

yes as long as it is not the the "classic rt valve" which recieved air through the banjo bolt ....
