Ok guys,

I'm real new to mags and all their different models. I just picked up an RT Pro and I am almost 100% positive it has an X-Valve. The guy I purchased it from probably didn't know what he had b/c he let it go for a very low price.

The valve has "RT Pro" with an "X" under the RT etched into the valve. The valve and regulator halves are both black. My question is, is this a true "X" valve and do you know what year they started to come stock with "X" valves? If this an X valve, anyone know how much a factory RT Pro with an X is worth? Gassed up the marker works flawlessley and looks almost new.

Thanks!

Who/where did you buy it? And how much for?

It's older/rarer than an "X" valve... but it is the same as the Xvalve with different laser engraving.

That is an X valve; introduced in 2002. The difference between the X and original RT-Pro is that the X is entirely aluminum and included the Level 10 bolt by default. For a period, when stainless RT-Pro valves were dropped for the X valves, some X valves were lasered with both the X logo and the RT logo overtop.

The modern engraving contains the words RT-Pro ULE, but all of those are still X valves. It's not anymore rare or valuable, it's just one of several different laser engravings AGD has used.

Thanks for the ID! I really appreciate it. So you are saying it does have the lvl10 bolt? I haven't field stripped it yet to confirm.

I got it from a seller on PBNation. $300 but it included a 68/3000 Crossfire fiber tank.. so I figure $200 for the gun $100 for the tank. Good deal or average?

Bone stock, well except for a Chrome 32 Deg Flame drop w/ an ASA on/off, but I'm not a big 32deg fan so it's getting replaced with a CP drop/ASA in black. It has a double trigger frame, but isn't that stock on an RT Pro?
