View Full Version : How I'm going to kill myself this weekend

Well folks... those that know me can start taking bets.

This weekends project - to put a bridge across my creek. I intend to drop a couple trees and then put boards over them to give me a levelish bridge

Tools involved: John Deere Crawler (I may substitute a Skidsteer if I can't get the crawler running); 16" Stihl Chainsaw; my double bitted ax and whatever misc stuff I end up with. Assuming I get that done I will need to clean up some brush, and will seek to borrow a woodchipper then.

I can already see this not turning out well.

My only request is pictures and you post back to know your alive.
The town I live in just had a tree trimmer die last week from falling.

Good luck

Knowing you, it'll probably be something totally unrelated, like an accident falling down the stairs or something. Then we'll have to endure more posts like, "my foot just fell off, is that bad? Should I go to the doctor?"

we all know a wood chipper is only good for one thing..

I was thinking more along the lines of dumping the skid steer down the creek bank and him crawling out of the then upside down skid steer. Only to find he's wedge it into the creek bottom with a ton of log ontop of it.

You realize the LS is rear wheel drive... and no I will not be pulling you out of ditches?

If you find a decent ls (or 2000 newer town car or continental) not all beat up under 8k, I dont care if it is rear wheel drive.

Have you ever driven a rear wheel drive car in snow, ice, and slush? Trust me, not a good first car

Did that when I was cutting down the trees I intend to use... on the plus side my shoulder doesn't hurt near as bad any more.

I drive a lincoln town car signature series. Rear wheel drive + NE ohio winters = hours of fun.
(Disclaimer: until you hit a ditch)

PS, if you don't make it I want your minion. PS, how's the pneumag working? I'll need pics soon.

if it makes you feel better, at least your junk (probably) isn't bleeding/gashed.

Even though I hate going to the doctor's just as much as the next guy, that was still funny.
