Press Release : 2007 Model Cyborg

For Immediate Release:
Thursday, September 14, 2006

As expected, MacDev designers have been working on a 2007 model of the Cyborg marker. The 07 Cyborg is tentatively set for release in December 2006, or early January 2007.

Designers have released a list of extra features that they intend to work into the 07 Cyborg:

* A reduction in overall marker height
* Increased milling/lighter body
* Increased speed
* 07 spec electronic hardware and software
* 07 Gladiator
* New solenoid
* 07 spec detents
* 07 spec LPR
* 07 RED valve

Clearly, designers expect the 07 Cyborg to be lighter, smaller and faster than previous models. It will also have some improved functionality and reliability with new regulators, solenoid and electronics.

The 07 Cyborg will include more features and workmanship than previous model Cyborgs, it will also be packaged with more accessories. For this reason, it is expected that the cost of the 07 Cyborg will be higher than previous Cyborg models.

A definite release date for the 07 Cyborg will be determined as design/production permits.

As usual, I'm late with the news.

I take it they're not going to use the merlin extrusions?

I wonder if the efficiency will improve at all.

I'm sure they will just do away with the tray and figure out a way to put the noid entirely in the frame or something like that

that should be easy enough. All they have to do it open up a promaster to figure out how to do it.

Lets see, reportedly, the 06 is 20% faster than the 05, so the 07. :eek:

faster? maybe they just improved the trigger or microswitch a bit, it seems like thats a big complaint from users. but i'm also willing to bet they've just added more ramping....whoopy, another nerve....

Macdev should fix the crappy grips the 06 had before anything else--loved the gun but the cheap feel of the grips made me get rid of it.

They should be addressing some key issues with the Cyborg. The grips, eye covers, hieght "problem", etc. I expect great things on the 07...so I can buy an 06. ;)

Also, there has been a price drop on 06's earlier today. Standard 06's sell for $830 and LE's sell for $980.

Normal DM4/Proto grips fit but they aren't long enough - there is a little gap between the eye covers.

Hybrid has new grips that address this issue I think.

Nope, you would need a Viking and/or Excalibur to truly say that.
