View Full Version : classic 68 using too much air?

I have a classic68, with orig style valve, no leaks anywhere, and a 68ci/3000 tank. When I shoot it uses about 100psi every 10 shots or so. I shot it abot 40 -50 times, and it dropped from 2500 to 2000. is this normal? what could be the cause of it? I did upgrade my microline to macroline yesterday, but it was doing this even before this. any thoughts?

Are you dry firing or shooting paint? If you're shooting paint, then what is your velocity set at?

That was dry, and the tank was filled a day ago. how do I check what my reg is set at?

how do I check what my reg is set at?You'll need to go to a field probably in order to use the chronograph, unless you know a shop or someone that has one.

Well, at work I took it apart and really cleaned everything, even cleaned the reg pack in the back of the gun and regreased it with some special grease, and shot straight and hard, and through 200 rds It only used less that 200PSI. Does this sound more accurate?

That would be great if we could all work on our markers at work .....but yeah that sounds better....
