To break in a warp, toss on a new 9v battery and set the sensitivity so that it constantly runs. When that battery goes dead, the warp is broke in.

The reason to break in the warp has to do with the electric arch of the new motor interfering with the sensor and causing the warp to operate erratically.

Maybe you should gohere (http://automags.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20317) and find out.

It's really not a HUGE deal, unless you're going to be running the Warp off the vibration sensor for awhile. The carbon brushes in the motor, when new, spark when the motor is spinning. This sparking causes electrical "noise", which interferes with the vibration sensor and can make it TOO sensitive. So if the owner doesn't take the time to break in the motor, they'll end up setting the potentiometer at about the half way setting because beyond that it won't stop spinning. Then after the Warp breaks in from normal use, the proper setting needs to be higher than what it was set at initially. So people will complain about the Warp not spinning everytime they shoot.

As long as you take the time to break in the brushes, you'll be able to set the sensitivity to its proper setting the first time and leave it there forever.

It's not as complicated as it sounds. The only other "break-in" issue with the Warp is getting a bit of lube on the Warp wheels so they slip by paint easier. Using paint with oiled shells will get a thin layer of oil on the wheels and it will work fine. Using dry paint you might need to apply some vegetable oil to the inside of the wheels to help the wheels slip by the paint.
