I am just curious to know. What marker that you currently own is the oldest unchanged marker in your collection?
Defined as still in the configuration you bought it in.

I am a relative newcomer in the example I will give, but here goes:

I got a Classic Mag with the Splash Eclipse kit, a Winforce(?) barrel, composite frame, AGD angled "duckbill" and all. If I remember correctly I got this in the late 90's(fuzzy memory) and it is still in the same configuration. I have borrowed pieces from it , but it always comes back together as this.

It is the one marker that I will never sell. No matter what else happens to paintball or AGD for that matter I know it will always be there ready to gas and go.

I still have my Sheridan rifle that I bought in '88 or '89. It sat in the closet for the last 14 or 15 years, I pulled it out last year and it still fires great like it use to. Still with the co2 from all those years ago.

Was the CO2 in a CA or 12gram? I am embarrasingly unfamiliar with those markers...

Its CA. Its a 9 or 12 oz bottle with a big on off knob on the top of it. Youve probably seen the type bottle before. The gun can also use 12 grams though. I think I used the 12 grams the first time I used it. Then I went with CA.

The Sheridan rifle is the original or the predecessor to the KP3.

Yep, my original Splatty is the only one unchanged. However, I did recently pick up a ProAm that is identical to the first gun I ever bought. I have that first ProAm, but it is highly modified since then.

i have a 1st gen PGP (before the BBs were in the bolt, mine had 1 bb in the pump handle). from my research it is circa 1985 give or take, as far as i know it is all stock other than the feed tube plug and the cup seal.

i didnt get it until about a year ago but still its pretty old (older than me so im pretty proud its still working and sexy)

splatmaster. not sure when it was produced. i bought it when i was 12 for $25. i had to save money from mowing lawns for a month. it was a discarded old rental when i picked it up, but after a good cleaning it shot great. i still use it from time to time, i actually gogged a guy with it in a speedball game last year. :D

Oldest marker

A PMI-1 with a 4 digit serial number I bought from Icecream who used to make Vipers in a closet of a shop back near San Diego/La Mesa in 1991 or 2.

Then there is my mag, the serial number is in the 3,000 range.

Also have an old Bushmaster I bought from Unique in Anaheim in either 88 or 89.

oldest markers 5 pgps' well 4 one is crapped out. I have had them since I think 1985. Used to play at my dads auto wreckers with friends. Cleaned and oiled with nothing other then a can of WD40, and haven't changed a thing in them since then, no bad for 20 years of a supposed bad for paintball gun lubricant ;)

Rebel 90 - bought in 1990 of course. This gun was a workhorse. It was the first gun I found that you could buy stock barrels with different inside diameters.
PGP - 1991 (Modified with quickchange CO2 and quick release bolt same year) hardly used. Still mint.
PMI Tracer 1993 - brand new, never used in a game but has fired a few paintballs.

I still have all the stock parts for my 68automag as well, circa 1993. I still use it regularly but it has been upgraded to modern standards so it doesn't count.

I have only purchased one marker brand new, one refurb, and the rest were used. The ones that are relatively unchanged...

Spitfire pump (from what I saw on VintageRex, should be about 1986 to 1992 vintage)
PMI-1 (was modded before it got it, not sure on s/n...don't have it in front of me)
VM-68 (only tank config changed since I bought it, but always goes back to how I bought it)
Talon (yes, I have a Talon...actually, 2, but only one grey one)
Tippmann Pro-Lite (not all that old)
and I can't forget about my Splatmaster

I have a few others, but I'm not home to check on them.

Wow, I'm going to come across as a monumental a** (back me up on that Tom...) - but how can you even THINK of putting anything up here that's older than '88? (I'm being generous, it should say '85); 'oldest gun thread' shouldn't even mention anything other than - nelspot, splatmaster, pgp, kp-2, the Uzi and maybe a couple of guns from McMurray & Sons, like the Annihilator.

If its not one of those - its not 'old'; it may be classic, it may be historical, but its not OLD.

Just because a marker was made in a year that pre-dates your birth does not make it old. (It may make YOU a problem for society [youth ALWAYS is, its just one of those things; they can't help it, we have to deal with AND clean up the mess]). :)

The judges will have to decide, but I think a non-serial number PGP is pretty old, but I don't know if a pressure fit barrel extender that never worked qualifies as 'modification'.

Historical Note: If you are 23 years old or younger, you were born AFTER I picked up and fired that PGP for the first time...

Societal Note: If you are 23 years old or older, you should know better than to be wasting your time on this game...

I think I summed up what I meant in this:

I am just curious to know. What marker that you currently own is the oldest unchanged marker in your collection?

And although not all of us are elite (or old)enough to have been playing since those early days.... I was interested in seeing what people were still hoarding in the closet.

I noticed that in all your posting you didn't "Answer the effin question".....knock the dust off something and show us old.

Can't - they're all either put away or gone to the great paintball field in the sky. The KP-2, Annihilator, Carter Comp, Gray Ghost, Vindicator, PGP and Bushmaster are in bags because my cats pissed on them. Anyone up for a project?
