ULT pin vs new stock replacements?

so here is the story.

I got a 68 automag classic, pretty much for free. It is equiped with a centerflag hyperframe without the original sear, on/off, and trigger frame. their is some damage to the safety, but seems as if it is not a problem.

would it be to my benefit to try out the ULT on/off pin instead of buying the replacement parts? Even if the pin proves itself to be useless as the depth of the hole is not the same on all automags. however it seems to be the problem with my gun.

All of your thoughts would be much appreciated.

A ULT can be used. Start with 2 shims and fire the marker. Add 1 shim at a time until it goes full auto. Remove one shim and you'll be set. My settings with a ULT where 2/1/5. I have switched to a RT type on/off with the settings of 4/1/5 .....

i use a ult with two shims in my hyper framed micro mag, works great
