I am trying make some of my own carbon fiber parts. Mostly they are just shells that go over things like a warp feed, halo, or tank. As I get better at working with the stuff I will try to make actual warp feeds and halos.
I am having some problem with getting the fiber cloth to lay flat on curves. For example the battery "door" on a halo. I have worked some in fiberglass cloth and made a vacum form to help get the cloth to stick to the shape of the curves. Is there a better way to do this? For example would a mold with a plug be better with carbon fiber cloth?
