Does anyone still know if the "Bob Long Autococker" still exists? They used to have them back around '96 when the RT first came out.

I've been searching everywhere for them, but to no avail.

They stopped making them in favor of the Timmy going way back when. I havent seen one in ages.

I'm taking about the first ones... with the neoprene shroud over the pneus. It would've been around '95-'97. I'm almost positive that WGP made them.

I wish I could find my old APG magazines.

I remember them clearly. They were right-feeds, and I think they came with the J&J barrels. I always wanted one of those. They also might have been the very first PL cockers, but im not 100% sure.

The local shop had one on the used marker wall, a couple months ago.
That was the only time I have ever considered buying a Cocker, it had a sweet anno job.
It was sold by the time I got back with the cash a week later.

Big E, Bingo.. that sounds like it! I think that they had a sweet blue/black anodize on them.
MMmmmm.

Rat, how much was it selling for? Just curious?

There has been one forsale for about a month in yellow black and silver anno with a Sandridge elctronic conversion. Its on Mcarterbrown.com Beyond the used market.. Ive got nothing.. They were old school cool...

I think its been on here too.... and it was center feed :)

My brother had one in purple. He had trouble with it and had to call the factory to get tech help. None other than Bob Long himself answered the phone and helped him. When was the last time you think that happened?

I've had Glenn Palmer call me when I had sent one of my guns in for their shop to repair.

Mike's been answering the phone there from the beginning.
Bet nowadays they'd laugh at you if you asked to speak to Bob Long...

yep, i had that cocker. im pretty sure it was a 97. it had "ironmen" lazer engraved on the frame. i traded it to minimag03 here on AO for something i wouldnt mind hacking apart.

They wanted $150, I was really bummed that I missed out it was in sweet shape. The Neoprene was in perfect condition.

I had one for awhile. It was an old left hand feed. I loved it to death, I think it originally was owned by slade...

sheesh man, you cant remember for certain, even after i post that i traded her to you?

and whered you send her off to? she was great but i can never stand anything but centerfeed.

I didn't bother reading the whole thread...I know, it's a bad habit.

I sold her to a military guy in Peral Harbor. I think that's the one gun that I solder that I was jealous of. :D

That's a nice vintage cocker... but IDK if that's a "Bob Long". The frame seems a bit different.

Well, you'll just have to ask the guy. I was going off the description of the shroud to be honest. Anyways, give him a ring and see what's up. At any rate, good luck with your search.

That purple one is not a Bob Long - and the one earlier is not really stock. Bob Longs has the finger groove 45 frame, square back blocks with a built in beaver tail, and horizontal cuts on the shroud (not angled like shark gills). I had a purple one once upon a time - it was nice but HEAVY! :)

Was there one with vertical feed and the neoprene was camo? I'm thinking STO but not sure if it's Bob Long? If so friend has one.
