I just bouth an XValve and it came with a new sear. I installed the new one but didn't find any difference between the Classic's sear and the XValve's one. When I go to http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog , there are:

- AM/MM Sear
- Emag Sear
- RT Pro Sear
- RT Sear

I don't know wich one I should choose between the AM/MM and the RT Pro...

What rail are you using?
Is it a basic mechanical mag?
If you're putting an xvalve in an AM/MM you just want an AM/MM sear.

What AM/MM stands for? So if I understand, I have to make the sear fit with the rail?

AutoMag/MiniMag

If you have a stock automag rail then you use an AM/MM sear and pin.
If you have an RT rail or some other custom rail you will need an RT sear and pin.
E-mag sears are very different

Thank you.

Is there a noticeable difference between the AM/MM and the RT PRO Sear? Because I didn't notice any difference beween the sear I received with my valve and the stock one.

What sear should be the one I received with my XValve?

Thank you.

What sear you use has nothing to do with the Xvalve, it depends on what rail you have... If you are using an AM/MM rail you can only use an AM/MM sear, for the RT/Pro style rails you can only use RT/Pro sears, and if you are running an Emag/Xmag you have to use an Emag sear. Hope that clears it up for you.

Yes, it is really clear indeed; but Madmarx already explained it to me and I understood it.

Now my questions are:
1- What is the sear that came with my XValve?
2- If that sear is not an AM/MM sear, will there be an observable difference between it and an AM/MM sear?

RT sear has a bushing in it and uses a different sear pin:
http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=416&categoryID=95

AM/MM sear doesn't have the bushing where the pin goes through:
http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=414&categoryID=92

Look closely at the pictures. They are very similar. Same shape but the bushing on the RT sear spaces the sear to center it in the rail.

Which one do you have?
If you have wrong sear and you can't use it I would be interested in buying it.

So what rail do you have anyway?

Hope this clears this up for you.
