It looks to me to be simply an I-Frame reversed.

I dont get it....I need to see a handless pic. How does that work? Is that just the battery pack on the otherside or is the frame turned around?

i thought that the battery would be in the back like styer aug then i looked at it and its not like that, it could be some kinda z grip just slight less at an angle and larger.

How are you suppose to hold that??

Maybe you shoot it with your thumb. Somewhat interesting though. Or you could twist your wrist around but that doesnt seem comfortable.

Maybe, since it's the PROTOYPE/CONCEPT model, Tom isn't finished with the design yet...

can we see other pics?

People! All it is is an Intelliframe that he reversed. Most likely in order to "study" the angle reversing a .45 frame would produce.

no he moved the grip frame up and battery pack to the back... changing the balance of that emag...

no he didnt look at all the space be the back (left) of the gun, its for a valve, look at the slant at the front by the battery, thats what the front of the emags look like

Nice painting in the background Mr. Kaye! Glad to see it is getting some use :)

By the way, though this is not necessarily related to the Y-Grip rumor, I would like to comment on another rumor regarding the demise of the Automag. At my store, sales of the Mag are quite brisk - definitely up from the summer. Apparently, the word is back on the street that Mags rock and AGD is back in action (and a little prodding from our sales staff never hurt). Both the RT Pro and E-Mag are gaining momentum as well, even with diehard Autococker and Angel fans. It's hard to argue with the E-Mag's advantages. Go AGD!

Sincerely,

Matt

P.S. Let's see more of this alleged Y-Grip, eh!

very good to hear. I'm suprized that mags don't sell so much... If you get some one to just hold it, fire it, then they will understand. It only takes one shot, then you're hooked.

im guessin its like a z grip just a little less of an agnle and he wanted to test it and not build one so he flipped and intelliframe around and used the backside and a grip.

im a bit confused. it just looks like tom mounted the battery pack under the valve on the back. u can see clearly that the battery pack is under the valve. the frame is in its normal place, i think tom is just holding it because the front of the gun is facing him i believe.

take a better look at the pic and ull see the frame is under the valve, not the battery

as someone said earlier, the battery pack is in the right position, not under the valve. there is no valve on the marker. you can see where the body is cut in an angle and also the feed would be too far back if the battery pack was under the valve.

if I had this gun, I would shoot myself a million times before i relize whats happening. Then I would be even more confused.

Did anyone notice the e-mag abstract art in the background. Very nice.

Notice how Tom hasn't commented on this yet? Maybe thats becuase you have veered into something people wern't supposed to know about yet....

Strangly enough, two of my topics in deep blue suddenly disappeared last month...

There's a conspiracy people!

what i get out of this picture is how the zgrip was concieved. take a 45 frame turn it backward and notice how it feels more ergonomic. then the idea hits and the z grip is made. he is holding a grip in the other hand. thats what i get out of the pics

Its just a backwards 45 frame. It looks like a valve is on the "front" because the battery appears to be taped on with electrical tape?

On a note, though, I think mounting the battery in the back would be an EXCELLENT idea. I think it would look very cool.

i think he was just messing around and this one pic has everyone thinking it's something new he's developing. don't you think if he were trying to develop something new, he'd be in some sort of lab or taht room with the gun testing stuff(can't remember what it was called). i have3 a feeling that you guys are just taking this picture all out of porportion.

People look at it!

He just wants to be able to shoot himself, with out haveing to get someone else to do it.

Its for those situations you when you dont want to surrender, and dont want to be mugged.

Every paintballer should have one!

were being used!! hehe look when we beg for tom to creat somethin he goes "hey this is something paintballers want" he looks at our ideas to see if we know whats up, then if he takes it to the drawing board he gets quiet about it and posts start dissappearing untill he gets a patent

tom is evil but evil makes for good business...and damn good paintball guns :D
