APB: Be on the Lookout! Dual ASA

This is an All Point Bulletin: be on the lookout for a dual ASA for a Classic Mag:

I am looking for an ASA that I had on my old Minimag I sold off 5+ years ago – I should have held on to. It was a vertical mount ASA that had another ASA welded 90* to the vertical – it ran parallel to the barrel. In the vertical position was the expansion chamber and the horizontal ran the regulator (I had an old stainless steel Uni-Reg there). I have never seen that setup ever before. Mine came from the sandana people (we were sponsored by them in 1997). If anyone has seen one or know where to get one let me know.

Started playing about `90-`91. I recall seeing an ASA like you are looking for. I think it was in a picture of a Mag in an old APG. I've been looking for dual ASA bottom-line (one ASA out front & one out back). Good luck.

I KNOW EXACTLY what asa you are talking about. I saw one in a cataloge once and always wanted it. I remember thinking how awesome an expansion chamber looked under the barrel. I made a fitting between the asa and rail let me put a sniper II pump handle on the mag to simulate the look.

'91 (I think) here. My mag is x-valved, but I still use the aluminum single grip w/ Lapco grip panels.

My son keeps asking me to take out my F-1 illustrator, which is still serving as my 'backup' gun. :D

Started in 87-88 ish. First game played was at War zone in Riverside, CA. Did not seriously play from 95-2005 but now have the bug again.

That expansion chamber looks like a really old school VM-68 style.

Black Rain expansion system FTW - It appears in this one they just modified a duck bill adapter and screwed it in through the vert foregrip mounting hole on the rail.

Sorry pump guru, It's got a pump handle on it, I thought it was a pump. What are those tests, and how come you know so much about them? hint hint... Hmmmmmm mabe someone named ben has some testing expierience under his belt, I wonder what the results were? :tard:

real similar to that black rain - i had one on my VM68 in 94, i miss that one. it was two AGD vert adapters attached at 90* the vert had an old proline expansion chamber (do they still make those?) and the hortz had the uni-reg (i just got a vigilante so it won't be historicly correct but my victims won't mind). i am going to make one myself a take some pics hopefully this week end with a spare vert asa.
oh, i just painted my minimag flat black like we used to do - man this is bringing me back to the good ole days. makes me want to enter the limited technology tournaments.
